Scenario Editor help

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm exploring how the scenario editor is working. I did not find any help around. I have a few questions about it.

- What is the role of the Airlines TAB ? I can understand the role of aircraft files, but what about Airlines ?

- In the Airlines TAB what is the role of the Callsign setup 1,2,3 and 4 ?

Thanks in advance for any help :o)

On the Airlines tab you can add or edit airlines by changing their equipment or destinations.

The callsign fields tell the sim what characters can be used in particular position. If you leave a blank field it'll be not used so you can easily do 2 or 3 characters long callsings.

Hi Robert,

thanks for your quick answer. And I just noticed (shame on me) some infos about the SDK editor at the end of the manual ...

I now have a question about the fields in the line to add aircrafts. I took a look at these kind of lines in the default scenarios, and the structure differs from the the default one of the editor.t

The editor says: CALLSIGN, ICAO, HDG, ASS_HDG ...

The entry in arrival_tutorial_visual contains: D-IVER;ARR;;1600;DHC6;270;270 ...

position 1 is CALLSIGN

position 2 is ARR or DEP

position 3 is ???

position 4 (1600) is ???

position 5 is ICAO

position 6 is HDG ...

The entry in Departure_Tutorial scenario (RYR223;DEP;MIQ;;B738;0;0 ...) gives me a clue about position 3, refering to departure procedure ...

BUT even when looking at the Munich_Hell scenario (where every aircraft line position 4 is empty), I can't figure out what this position for is ...

Thanks in advance ...

Here is full list of positions (this might have not been updated in scenario editor or you have outdated version):

0 - Callsign

1 - ARR/DEP

2 - Destination (for dep only)

3 - Fuel on board in kgs (leave empty to autocalculate)

4 - Aircraft model icao

5 - Heading

6 - assigned heading

7 - Speed

8 - assigned speed

9 - Altitude

10 - assigned altitude

11 - Direct to

12 - CORD/WAYPOINT/PROC/RWY (what kind of location will be used)

13 - Location of the aircraft. Depending on previous position value it might be Latitude;Longitude (notice the semicolon separating these), waypoint ident, Proc ident (should be used for arrivals only), runway ident (should be used for dep only)

Hope this helps you and others making their scenarios. And of course please don't forget to share your work when it's done ;) We have a special download section on forum for that: http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/forum-611/announcement-82-do-share-the-tweaked-files-you-made-via-the-downloads-section-of-the-forum/
