There is a hidden female inside the flight deck and she's not the stewardess...

Hello.

I'd like to report something funny and strange at the same time.

I use british accents for both the PF and PNF. During the "before start checklist" instead of hearing a male voice asking for the APU switch to be set to on i heard a womans' voice saying "APU ?". Quite odd, right?

:chairfall_s:

Anyway, this happened with the A320 loaded. I never checked if the same thing happens with the rest of the buses.

I also noticed the wrong voice in a callout after landing the bus. It seems the occasional sound file is missing in the British voice sets, so the "default" files can't be overwritten.

The following files seem to be affected:

  • PM (2 files): 'APU' and 'On'
  • PF (1 file): 'after landing checklist'

Yes, same issue. US pilot, standard female voice co-pilot. After landing what sounds like a British gent starts the after landing checklist. Happened with the A320-IAE

P3D, Win7,64bit.

I had the same issue after installing HF 1.30a so ran the configurator again to reset the sounds back to my uk settings and she's gone.

I believe that HF 1.30a has a sound folder included and thats why we are getting the anomoly.

hope that helps.

Yeap. I may give it a try to find out where the problem lies though i am quite busy this period. We'll see. Thanks.

Brian is correct:

The three callouts have been added to the hotfix, because some callouts have been "tweaked". The changelog mentions PM callouts only, but there is also one callout by the PF affected.

Instead of requiring for us to toggle voicesets, in order to activate the tweaked callouts, Aerosoft set up the hotfix in a way that it overwrites those three callouts with the versions from the default voicesets. So the updated sound files will be active immediately - but with the default voices only until you execute that toggle thingy again ...

The hotfix install instructions should include a hint on how to activate the "tweaked" voicesets for the non-default voices.

  • 2 weeks later...

Hello everyone,

I'm flying on A320 CFM with Voice-pack French and so far, I have completed flight LFMN/EBCI.

All seems to be smoothly if it was until AFTER LANDING.

This is another voice (English, I think) which made the announcement "after Landing please" and in the list, a female voice answers at a time... but not noted how the list.» I'll check the next flight...

Yours, Damien

Hi,

I think I know the problem and how it happened - it it is related to one of the hotfixes as we changed the timing for the "AFTER LANDING CL" Please use the "Configurator" and fist set the voicepack back to "Standard" and then select your favorite voicepack again. This should solve the problem.

Regards,

Rolf

Thank you for the answer Mr. Rolf! It is much appreciated. I now understand it would take us ages to figure out the real problem. Thanks again, sir. ;)
