I've had a lot of performance problems at Heathrow so far which I tried to solve by disabling various features in England / around London. But now there is a very strange problem: There are trees growing from several taxiways and runways at EGLL Xtended - big ones and small ones. Last Thing I did was uninstalling ORBX England. So, if there should ever had been any trees there, they should have been disappeared now, but not vice versa. Any ideas what could be wrong?? Deputy Sheriffs mopperle 4162 Posted March 30, 2015 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted March 30, 2015 It does matter, when you made errors during the installation, e.g. setting FTX Central to Europe instead of Global when installing a Non-Orbx Addon. BudSpencer 116 Posted March 31, 2015 Author Share Posted March 31, 2015 OK, I've forgotten that I have deactivated the Heathrow Xtended terrain entry in the scenery library to help performance increase. Now, I've reactivated it and the trees are gone. However 2 questions remain open: 1) Shouldn't a deactivation of terrain data remove objects instead of adding any?? If the airport is only usable with the terrain entry, why is there a seperate entry for it? 2) Is there any other way to help performance increase?? I've lowered the settings in P3D2 already, my AI traffic is at a minimum, ORBX England is moved away and REX coulds resolution is now 512x512. And performance is still so bad there, especially concerning VAS memory. If I select the PMDG 777 at EGLL for example I get a OOM before I can even touch the controls - while at other big, busy and complex addon airports such as KLAX, KDEN, KIAD,... this is not the case. I know the 777 eats a lot of performance. But this way there is hardly any advanced airliner that I can use at LHR. And this is exactly the kind of aircraft that is present at the real airport. The AS A320 has problems, too. (My System: Intel i5 3570k @3.4 GHz, NVidia Geforce 970, 8 GB DDR3-RAM, 1TB HDD [Windows 7 - 64bit] + 500 GB SSD [Prepar3d v2.5], 850 W psu) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
