Christiaan 3 Posted March 29, 2015 Share Posted March 29, 2015 Have the boxed version of Balearic X and FS9 from 2009 According to the Aerosoft & SimMarket sites I can get the new Mallorca X Evolution for the 50% discount when I enter the Key of the boxed product. Paid € 50 for this product, plus € 13 for the new update discount, a total of € 63. I have noticed than many add-on developers release a update within a couple of years but are not afraid to charge the customer again. Also it seems that the box editions are few and far between these days. Not everyone prefers a download version. Am I alone in my opinions. I presume that I do not have to return the DVD (at my cost) to get the new download version. Last time I did that Aerosoft could not find out if a DVD I sent had arrived. And why shouldn't they do so, especially, when the product is being completely reworked in its major parts? Are you doing your work for free? Christiaan 3 Posted March 30, 2015 Author Share Posted March 30, 2015 I am not saying that the developers should work for nothing, in the past few years I have bought many add-ons from Aerosoft and SimMarket etc so I have contributed quite a bit to the developers. What I am trying to say that if a new release comes out within a couple of years the developers should charge a realistic price and not the full price. My Balearic X if from 2009 and includes FS9 & FSX, new versions seem to exempt FS9. I think I payed a lot for this scenery as other companies at the time were charging less for there products. But then of course the choice was mine as I wanted the product. A 50% discount is reasonable but when I added both of the purchase prices it seems a lot. I will probably buy the new version. You can also buy each single island including one (in Mallorca 2) airports for around 25€ and nobody has a problem with it. Please tell me which other developer offers more for less money!
