Antarctica X V1.1 In P3DV2.5

Thank you for the reply although it is not what I wanted to hear. It is a shame that Aerosoft are not yet fully committed to P3D as it makes it difficult for me to purchase Antartica X V1.1 as I only have P3DV2.5 installed

Please excuse my words, but what you are saying is bu*****t. It is LM that currently breaks compatibility with every single update they release.

How do you think should developers keep up with that?

There are two possibilities:

  • never release, because a minute before release LM releases the next update and something is again not working anymore, or
  • release and state all the compatibility issues with the latest LM version

The latter one happened with Antarctica, and as long as you are not interested in the missions you will not find any problem with P3D v2.5

Again, claiming that AS is not committed to P3D just clearly shows your misunderstanding of the market, nothing else.

Thank you for answering my post but please read it carefully as I did not say that Aerosoft were not committed to P3D, I said that they are not fully committed to P3D. If they were then I would certainly purchase Antartica X V1.1.

You are not forced to buy it, if you can't live with a less then 100% compatibility for P3D v2.5.

I am for example after the scenery and not the missions. Therefore I really don't mind them not being working properly in v2.5.

But that's just my humble opinion...

Maybe the first and last sentence in my first answer were a little bit harsh, or could at least read like that. You are right and I am sorry for that and offer my apology. But in between those lines it was just plain logical explanation.

In the same way you tell me that my way of communication is aggressive you could also tell it to pipeorgan. His post, to which I replied first, could also be read like a rant, couldn't it? Or is answer to my post...

The problem with communication by text is always that certain parts of emotions can't be transmitted and that leaves room for any kind of misunderstanding.

My intention in this topic was not to start a flame war, but to simply state a fact. And till now AS haven't said that there won't be an update nor did pipeorgan arguments proved any "not full commitment", at least not to me. I simply can't derive a "not full commitment" from a compatibility problem with v2.5, I just don't see it. But then again, that's just me :-)

Again, it wasn't my intention to offend anyone.

Hi pipeorgan,

you can buy only by the scenery ... It is good and is reasonably priced.

I think you will like - as scenery![emoji57]

Hi Sinesio

Thanks for the information and yes I am sure that I would like the scenery, I have purchased a number of software packages from Aerosoft over the years and they are all of superb quality.. I am particularly interested in the mission as no payware missions are available for P3D yet and that is my dilemma.

Cheers.
