Well, I can't say so from yesterday (I started early, I know).

Ready to push back

Shortly before t/o - not too promising (I switched de-icing on - shields up!)

Nice, but bumpy ride

post-95976-0-53627200-1426873057_thumb.j

After docking - It snows again. The landing (ILS 03) had severe gusts and low visibility, I saw the runway about the same moment I reached the minimums. Actually, no pictures therefore.

Flight time had been 1h03m.

Since Gander is only a transitional destination on our way to Boston I only took some aerial Flight-Deck shots today and didn't bother showing approach or landing.

Just arrived with my J41 at Stephenville on my way to Halifax. The Weather had been awful at Gander (snowfall and winds of 35 kn from 135°). En route at FL160 gusting winds again from south with 75 kn. Despite the fact that somebody has to clean up the cabin now it was a nice flight. BTW, the scenery here is awful and I decided to leave as fast as possible. Before that I have to find a possibility to beam me to Beijing in order to meet [my friends tonight in order to continue our own RTW. However, I'm sure I can make it today to Halifax, too.

The approach path:

As predicted I made Halifax today. The weather is nothing I would like to have all through Autumn, Winter, and Spring. Take-off at Stephensville was quite okay even if the wind had been a bit gusty. However the clouds looked more dangerous than they appeared to be. After a flight time of 58 mins I decided to insist on the ILS 23 approach even if I got a heavy side wind component. The weather radar gave some red alert just over the field and I wanted to be sure having a glide slope if necessary. I'm not quite sure whether that was the reason that I got wind shear warnings just above the decision hight - fortunately not later and I decided to land nonetheless.

T/O at Stephenville:

I've made it to Gander. Breezy old day there, I thought it was going to be low vis so I shot the ILS on R13 with a 30kt crosswind, I should've took the visual for 21 as the vis wasn't that bad. Block time 58min.

I've also managed the Halifax leg today. Windy again but only 30 degrees off the strip. Block time was 1hr15mins. No pics from this one as I forgot to take any. Was trying to get the AP working enroute but no luck.
