As Mathijs hasn't created a topic for leg 5 yet, I thought I would take the liberty of doing so.

Please let us know when you have arrived at Goose Bay. No poll as I can't remember how to add one

I also just left Greenland and headed for Goose Bay.

But before I was lucky to get finally the Narsarsuaq scenery installed :-)

That place really is beautiful!

Actually I'm still sitting at BGBW trying to repair my JS41. The fuel gauges are not working correctly as they are jumping always back to 100%. The aircraft might be now a perpetual motion machine as the fuel load does the same. I tested with other planes but it obviously is no general miracle, just the Jetstream. The only thing I've changed in-between had been ASN (which does not directly influence this bird) and FSUIPC.

Finally I've ordered the required spare parts from PMDG and during a first but brief test it works again (well I really had to go through the full de-install and re-install procedure). However, even if I'm planning to take-off today I urgently need now another night stop. See ya at Goose Bay.

EDIT: Unfortunately it still doesn't work and even if I tinkered with my FS for a living I don't have any idea at the moment what could have happened...

Make sure that you don't have unlimited fuel set in the realism settings

I'm on my way with my Jetstream as I finally I decided to take-off with full tanks as a bit of reserve is not bad when flying in bad weather over the North Atlantic toward a quite unpopulated place in Canada. Now everything works well. Besides quite gusty winds in Narsarsuaq I've had severe snow showers and icing. After going through the clouds at about FL170 the ride is now quit smooth even if I wasn't able to achieve my originally planned flight level due to the heavy fuel load. However, passing LOACH now and another 25 mins to start the descent.

And right now I found the source for my fuelling problem. By chance I'd parked the aircraft just where a fuel trigger is placed in the (still nice) scenery of BGBW. I opened the BGL with ADEX and voilá!. I've spent in total about four hours in order to find the reason... :mecry_s:

Just landed. Wicked weather on leaving, damaging some of the wine I got stuffed in the back.

At FL300 it was nice and easy, although fighting a 50-70kt headwind, so this long leg took even longer. Thunderhorse held up fine though, and I earned the VA some dough while I was at it.

Wine and fishing poles are unpacked as we speak. Who's in for some salmon fishing!

Hi Bruce, this had been on of my first thoughts. It was a hidden fuel trigger.

Well, I think I could do it. We only need some tricks with the daylight as I forgot to set my sim time properly. It's becoming dark now and fishing in the darkness might be no good idea in the Canadian winter.

Finally the Eagle has landed.

BAe Jetstream 4100, 10 Pax on board and still a lot of fuel.

Take-off at 19:12z, landing time 21:49z, used fuel 1,278kg (much less than the planned 1600kg due to a 0.5h shorter flight time)

Weather at BGBW had been awful, gusty winds, and heavy snow with icing. Here at CYYR it looks quite nice but temp is -19C and I don't want to know how it feels when standing in a gusting wind of 14...24 knots.

Did the flight yesterday as early as possible, since the forecasts for BGBW where not looking good. So I managed to takeoff in acceptable conditions.

Departure

Rather turbulent climb. I bet cabin crew had a lot of work to do later on ;)

I really love the lighting...

post-96737-0-38443200-1426345457_thumb.j

...but something strange happens. While taxing for departure and from short final to the gate, the windscreen became hmmm steamy. Any ideas what might cause it?

Tower Power shot! ;)

I'm hoping to fly next leg in X-Plane :)
