Mega Airport Dublin error in P3d 2.5

Mega Airport Dublin is crashing for me in P3d 2.5. Usually in the vicinity around the end of Rwy 28. Dublin in previous builds of P3d v2 was stable.

Is anyone else encountering the same/similar issues?

Just wondering if the new file structure in 2.5 affecting the scenery install? Can the developers help please?

At this moment i can't exactly tell when this will be done.

I’m afraid this is simply not good enough. If someone was to purchase P3D today and then purchase Mega Airport Dublin, which is currently advertised on your website as being compatible with P3Dv2, they would find it would not work.

This contravenes a very basic principal of consumer rights law. If you advertise something and at the same time publically acknowledge that what you are selling is false, it is at best bad business practice and at worst leaving your company wide open to legal action.

Aerosoft should prioritise resolving compatibility with this product immediately or amend their sales page.

It is unfortunate that a rapidly changing platform may cause a headache for developers, but it is not the customers fault. The developers should make every effort to reassure their customers that their support is guaranteed

Hang on a second, it is compatible for P3DV2, but not 2.5. Read the post from Jonas above. Some devs have only just released patches to be compatible to 2.5, I think you need to be a little more patient and understanding. Quoting consumer law was rather silly as well. Have a little faith.

I don’t think you followed my point.

If somebody was to purchase P3D today and then purchase Dublin from Aerosoft, Dublin would not work, which Aerosoft has admitted to.

Mega Airport Dublin is currently advertised as being compatible with P3D when in fact it will not work with the current version of the simulation.

That unfortunately is false advertising and that was the point I was making.

Well I don't have the issue ,maybe because I disabled different things at EIDW as you have ;-)

Running the latest in P3D v2.5 - 2.5.12944.0

Make sure to run the traffic config file and disable all because that one isn't compatible with P3D (Vistamare and AES stuff)

(ps that holds for all Aerosoft sceneries in p3d v2)

Further I have low res textures enabled and grass and animated flags disabled....

Hope it's helpful...

Cheers,

André

Hi André,

Thanks for taking the time to comment. Yes, I have tried the things you have suggested but to no avail.

I have EIDW sitting on top of MSE Ireland and the Genesis mesh, could there be a conflict there?

I suppose I would have hoped for a bit more support from Aerosoft. Pity.

I don't think they are the company they once were in terms of support for their customers.

What you could do is disabling the mesh (can give conflicts) and other add-ons and just test with EIDW for trouble shooting purpose ;-)

I agree with you but Aerosoft/Developers are not responsible for the changes LM makes to a structure inside the folders. Developers do a lot to get it fixed so just sit back and take another beer and be patient. In the end it will be fixed ;)
