Question, can you insert option only to use AES Yetways??

Recommended Posts

Hello Oliver and Aerosoft,

We have been patiently waiting a very very long time now for further development AES bagage loading and unloading!

I have reached the point that this is not going to happen, why only you can tell.

All we see Aerosoft AES workes on activating new airport scenery, which is great but we would like to see further development on a product that is half finished!

Be honest to your loyal customers if you do not intent to work on further development AES and give us an option to use AES with GSX?

AES does a very great job controlling the jetways!

So my question is: Can you insert an option to use AES only for jetways so we can choose GSX to handle the bagage loading and unloading?

I always intend to use AES because controlling jetways by FSX sucks.

So with this option we would be able to use AES andf GSX together!

Kind regards Robert

Hi Robert,

I believe I don't tell you anything new when I tell you that AES development is slow as Olivers "real" job (he's not a full time employee of Aerosoft!) consumes most of his time.

You can already do what you want to do with a bit of configuration.

First of all remove all doors exept those where jetways are supposed to connect in AES Help. This way you will only have the jetways connect as AES thinks there are no other doors on your aircraft.

Then in the GSX config remove the doors where you want the AES jetways to connect.

It only takes a half a minute to do this once you are comfortable with it and it works perfectly.

The option is already available. It requires some work from your side but hell. What you do is you start FS with a plane on a AES field. Start AESHelp, then go to Set aircraft parameters and Deselect all but the left doors. Also deselect your last left door. Where there will be a staircase.

If I would request a feature then I would ask for P3D compability but I know it is coming and also the ability to say to AES to not react when on a stand. So if you don't have gates on the stand then AES will not be available. Just for the people who are using GSX.

No you don't remove the doors in GSX. You just go to the config window of GSX and there you select that you are standing on a gate or airbridge or something. If you're really honest GSX is the better program to configure. But due to vendor locking from Aerosoft most of the airports need AES to work 100% with the airbridges connecting etc even if FSX and P3D can do it themselve

I know it has nothing to do with this, but you misspelled jetway there. Anyway, yes development is slow but like it's been said you can perfectly use AES and GSX by just changing the settings manually.

Thank you Guy's,

Yes I am aware that Oliver has a normal job besides working for Aerosoft and his time is limited.

I did not know this was possible to do it yourself!

Thanks for giving this detailed information how to do this.

Cheers Robert

Is it possible to disable the marshaller AES?

Yes do just as I said. Only use the L1,L2,L3 and L4 doors on big planes. And on smaller planes like 737 use only L1. Delete everything else including the nose wheel. oh but wait AES probably uses the nose wheel for the parking spot. In GSX just deselect marshall option
