crash on exit

Windows 7 home premium. 8gig of memory. 64bit. log.txt files don't show anything. I close out using exit from menu bar. In windowed view. I verify cache files on hand. Always verify files in cache. because of missing file or two. I re verify and then all files are good. When I exit, a window opens saying a report has been made. I give e-mail address and a brief note then send. I try to restart program, and I get a message saying ,app is already running. So something is not closing all the way down on exit. I was told that v. 10.35 may fix this because there have been other users with the same problem. So I guess I just have to wait for the released version to come out. Do a reboot of PC, and X-Plane loads ,no problem. I tried cntr-alt-delete, but no programs are shown running. One support person told me to load more scenery, but cannot see where that would make a difference in shut down procedure. What else do you need? It would be nice to fly this sim as a change of pace from FSX. Thanks I can be a pain in the ___.Did a fresh re-install of program. All files are verified. Even installed European scenery. Ran in full screen. Exited using task manager. Window came up saying x-plane has quit working, looking for a solution. I go ahead and cancel. Program closes. Restart no prob. Go back tUpdate. Started program without starting steam first. Closed program using task manager. No problem on first two attempts. Restarts good. On third attempt, same ole, same ole. Time to reboot. Any ideas? Thanks.in windowed mode. Shut down using task manager. Get old error message, and cannot restart without rebooting.I always exit within the menu Not the x in upper right hand corner. I have no pluggins. no nothing, just xp.

Mr.Heinz: Deleting the x-plane prf file does no good as well. I know that the beta version of 10.35 is out for the DVD version of the sim. Do you know how long it takes for the steam version to come out? It is of the opinion of some that this might solve the problem. Thanks

Hello,

no, unfortunately there is no termin for 10.35 goes final. At the time is 10.35 Beta 2.

But i think it takes not too long time...

Do you have reset all preferences or only the X-Plane.prf?

Hello ,

as i know, the 10.35 is final now. Build 103503.

You can see it with the Menu - About - About X-Plane.

If there are existing problems, i think we need more infos.

Log.txt (as an attachement) from the X-Plane 10 Root folder.

All Windows updates done?

All Grafic Driver Updates done?

Hardware used: Grafic Card , dedicated Video RAM,

Rendering Options: Configurations...

...

May be, we can try to retrace it than....

I am running here the steam version and the Box version without problems.

Dear Sir: Here is the latest update. First of all, I am stubborn and I hate to give up. But today I was on my teamspeak, and I asked if anyone else used x-plane. Someone there does, and I told him my problem. My problem was on task manager,, all the processes werent showing up. When that issue was solved, I redownloaded x-plane, and ran program. Once again, crash on exit, only this time I was able to close process correctly from task manager, and no problem. I was able to restart program without error telling me app already running. When I closed program again, no error. I think we are finally in business. If I have to close with task manager, no problem. At least I don't have to re boot PC. I appreciate your trying to help. Thanks again. S. Sumner
