Aerosoft A318/19 plane shaking

Recommended Posts

Hello,

When I switch on the auto pilot on the 318/19 it works great for about 15 minutes however after that it suddenly starts violently shaking, banking, going up and down, and it does this really fast which makes the aircraft uncontrollable even when I switch autopilot off.

I don't know if anybody has had this before (I havn't found anything like this on this forum) so I was wondering if anyone could help me solve this. Note- I am not good at computer specs so if you need to know something about my computer please give a brief description of what you mean(sorry)!

Thanks!

Are you using Accufeel? If so, Turn it off? If you are using a Weather program, try turning it off. What are you frame rates? Also I suggest you use the forum search and use the key word "Surging" This may be the same issue.

don't think i have accufeel and my weather is set to fine on average frames are 7 (target 10)

That's the problem. Average fps should be around 18 fps to be on the safe side. What are your hardware specs?

I have the same problem.

FPS is 17 so I will try 18 at least.

Specs :

Windows 7 64 bits

2,4 GHZ

Nvidia GEFORCE GTX 560 TI - 1 G

8 G ram

Best

Is that a Quad-Core, Dual-Core or Single-Core CPU? you might want to lower your settings, set your FSX to unlimited FPS. And lock the FPS via nVidia Inspector (or another external frame limiter).

OT I can't really understand why you would use 10FPS as target, that slide show must be impossible to fly with ANY aircraft, always aim for 30 FPS while allowing for drops in heavy sceneries.

from time to time I have had the same problem , donno whats causing it, av fps in the air around 50 - 60, I do have asn running , but I figured in a sim it should be able to "fly" in weather, but as I said not a major problem here ,but I have picked it up now and then so I can confirm it can happen even on a high end system too and not only a performance issue on a older rig ;)

Same problem here, affecting all 4 airbuses. Usually shakes when autopilot is engaged or When at cruise speed above FL270 (around Mach .73 and up). I've lowered my graphics settings as per the recommendation on another forum post but this hasn't worked, and also removed the logging etc in the configurator, still no luck! Frustrating as it's completely unusable right now. How can it be graphics settings when I can run the pmdg 777 absolutley fine, that's surely way more graphics and processor intensive!?

The fly-by-wire system is calculated from frame by frame, other than the 777 or something else you are refering to. 15 FPS are the minimum to not encounter those issues. Please show us your setting so that we can help you out there!

Guys I have the solution for your problems. The shaking is due to excessive override among the ailerons and the spoilers when initiating a bank.

All you have to do is:

-Go to this directory: your_hard_disk:\\Microsoft Games\FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\AerosoftAirbus A320 CFM

and then load your aircraft.cfg file with your notepad and change:

-min_ailerons_for_spoilerons=20 (instead of 10) and then change

- aileron_efectiveness=0.5 (instead of 1) you can try also with

- elevator_trim_effectiveness=1.2 (instead of 1.1)

Don´t forget to SAVE the file !!!

Do the same in the others aircrafts.cfg files

Play with the numbers that fits you best and forget about shaking when flying !!!

God Speed !!!

Jonas, thanks for the input. in which case it's definitely a FPS issue, as i'm averaging a really poor 8fsp with any of the airbuses!!! looks like i will have to reduce my settings quite a bit. i'm running windows 7 x64, intel core 2 6600 @ 2.4ghz, 8gb ram, so i only have myself to blame really, seeing as my computer barely meets the system requirements.

pepelotas, how many other examples other than your own have you seen your fix resolve the problem for? are there may others? or just yourself??

thanks guys!

Hi Jonas, I had the same problem from A319 through A321. Now I´am flying without any perceptible shaking. But if you use a low profile graphics computer (let say a Laptop) then the problem reproduces back again.

I'm getting some weird behaviour too. A320, longish flight, so a bit heavy. Climbed to FL360 without issues, but as soon as it levelled off it started to shudder and then porpoise, Master warning keeps coming on without any other indications. IAS was at 270/M0.8, up against the red line, but certainly not overspeeding. And I would have thought the FMS would select the appropriate speeds based on the costing, no? And I have a solid 40-50+ FPS. Turned off Accufeel and ASN ... made no difference.

Try and make a video showing the problem with your FPS counter displayed.

I had a similar problem late last year on a high-end PC. Perhaps the answers to my post from Dec. 30, 2014 can help with the issue. In my case I had multiple airport addons, GEX, UTX, ASN, Ultimate Traffic, and max settings for everything. Had to scale down on the settings a bit, but a major issue appeared be the way weather is tracked in the simulation, which would go on even with the weather radar turned off. Aerosoft has provided a way to fix this with the goal of improving frame rates. I must add that I also fly PMDG's 737NG, sometimes at low frame rates, and this particular problem has never occurred.

You may also try the Scenery Configuration Editor, which is an extremely useful tool for managing scenery files and lowering memory usage by deactivating areas you will not be flying over.

Well, hope you resolve the issue soon.

@pepelotas Thanks for the great fix. No offense to Aerosoft's development and support team but you tried harder than the actual developers and support team to fix the shaking.

Much Appreciated,

H :D
