Use of Airport Anchorage (X-Plane 10) with Anchorage Photoscenery

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have recently installed Aerosoft's airport Anchorage and it is working fine. Previously I was using photoscenery for complete tile of Anchorage area. This photo scenery has been derived from satellite imagery for the area.

The problem is that after installation of Aerosoft's airport Anchorage which also has photorealistic ground textures based on aerial imagery, this photoscenery disappeared. Now the only way through which I can see and use this photoscenery is that if I place this scenery above the Aerosoft's airport Anchorage in scenery.ini file inside custom scenery folder of X-Plane 10. But in this case, airport scenery completely disappears as it was never there before.

I want to use Anchorage photoscenery alongwith Aerosoft's airport Anchorage since Aerosoft's airport Anchorage does not cover scenery outside airport boundaries.

Is there anyway that I can use airport Anchorage scenery for the airport area and my existing satellite image based photoscenery for the remaining area outside airport scenery boundaries at the same time?

Its a shame that even after so much time, no body has bothered to reply. It seems that Aerosoft uses this forum only for their own ease and benefit. Nothing is here for customers.

Hello raofaisal,

i think this statement is in this focus not correct.

You can see it at all our other post here, where our users and i by myself helps where we can.

This post i have overlooked. Sorry.

If something like that occurs, than please write a PM (privat message) to me, with the link to your post.

So i see the flag in the PM and can try to answer...

The Problem is, i don't use photosceneries for this terrain (Anchorage) so i cannot test it at the time.

But an orthophoto of an airport shall not exclude a Photoscenery if all is correct done.

I have checked it here for the Hamburg area (airport hamburg has an orthophoto) and addidionally a photoscenery (from SimHeaven). And it works .

May be PilotBalu or alpilotx can say something more to the problem....

I don't know the anchorage scenery, but I assume that this Aerosoft scenery uses an own grid and one part is an terrain scenery.

So the only way to solve this problem is to change your photo scenery to an overlay version with the tool ter2pol. Then you could lay your photo scenery over the terrain scenery of Aerosoft.
