Asian repaints?

Good day. First, thanks for the great work on an already great product. Been a fan for years.

I do have a request please. I've noticed there are no repaints, at present, representing the Asian airlines. One Sichuan, for the 319, but no 320/321 variant. And zero on Air China, China Eastern, and Chengdu.

I'm sure these will be created at some point...would just like to place my vote to have a rendition of these in the different variants.

Thanks again.

Have you searched the downloads section of our forums already?

I just did a testflight with http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/files/file/1506-airbus-a320-cfm-air-asia-9m-afk/

There are many others available in there, too!

Thanks Emi. I did do a search and I actually saw the Air Asia repaint. I love Holgi's work. It was the more obscure liveries I was interested in. As I said, I'm sure they'll be along soon. Thanks for the quick response.

Normally I wouldn't react to this kind of post but stating that there are no Asian repaints available is just nonsense . That the poster can't find any repaints does not mean that there are none available . Holgi has painted several " Asian " paints and another painter made several for Air Asia amongst others . There are more than 1000 repaints available here on Aerosoft and they DO work with all releases from the AirbusX to the latest release .

I myself have just uploaded new versions ( here at Aerosoft ) of my Dragonair paints ( others have been availble since 2012 on AVSIM ) , HongKong Airlines , HongKong Express ( with three more to upload ) , Lucky Air and Spring Airlines . Several others which are now going through a makeover for the latest release are ( for example ) All Nippon , Air Macau and Sichuan .

The major drawback with Asian airlines is the written text / airline logo's and unless high definition photographs are available it is virtually impossible to recreate any Asian text used in aircraft names . In the past I was working on Air Macau repaints but could only find 2 photo's where the name was readable , the same applied to HongKong Express but a forum member supplied me with detailed pictures including the name .

Repainting is not just " cutting & pasting " bits of photographs onto the model ( if you prefer that method - I do not ) , there is a lot of " work " involved . Maybe something to consider before making such statements as above .

Wow. Defensive much? I may have mistakenly included ALL Asian airlines in my post, but if you'd read further I DID list the ones in question that I have been unable to find.

Secondly, I was most civil and not accusatory in any way toward Aerosoft, its repainters, or anyone else.

Finally, I have enormous respect for the folks who make every effort to provide accurate renditions of the various airlines for our use.

I did not attack you, your repainting skills, or your process.

Perhaps YOU should take that into account before you post such venom.

Thank you Aerosoft for a great product and to ALL repainters out there...my sincere gratitude.

Now, I believe I'll stay out of the forums. I did not intend anything personal towards anyone but...I also don't need nor deserve to be "dressed down" by anyones ego either.

Have a great day.

Don't know where you get the venom from , my post ( and later Rafal's post - I just didn't see the need to look for you ) show that there are in fact quite a few Asian airline repaints availble , so a lot more than none as you stated .

You are not the first person stating that a particular airline or region " has been forgotten " ( which is just not true ) , but sadly enough , wont be the last either . Even if the SEARCH function doesn't work on this site Google certainly does and would have produced results whether " Asian airlines " or the airlines you mentioned were entered .

Your other option would have been to post a " request " for a certain airline in the appropriate forum which is how other forum members got about finding a repaint .

If you find that you have been victimised in any way , feel free to make a complaint to the moderators .
