New Airbus speed problem

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

well i've got a liitle problem up here. I just got the new Airbus A320/321. Everything seems fine except of 1 thing. As soon im Inflight, the Airbus starts buggin.

Let me give U an example:

I just flew with 260KIAS, overspeed began at 270KIAS. Well pretty close. However, after a few time passed by, the Airbus suddenly jumps down to 220KIAS (like a lag) than it tries to get back on its 260. But after few seconds it jumps back to 260 so the plane is in overspeed. And, of course it will give me an overspeed alert. And it keeps doin this :((

Its sooo annoying ... I've never had such a problem with the old Airbus X Extended. Might its problem with the weather engine? I'm usin the weather engine of IVAO. Anyone else with that problem? Some1 know how to fix that issue?

Regards

I can only second that. In my case it's not that extreme, but the Airbus is only capable of holding the speed to +/- 10 knots, which of course is annoying since the engines spool up and down all the time. This applies for crusie and with time, say 25 minutes, the bus is "already" able to hold +/- 5 knots, which is too unstable either.

Now, for landings the A/T is a nightmare:

Spool down to idle --> reach target speed --> slow spool up (too slow...) --> "Speed, Speed." --> above 90% N1 --> target speed overshoot

Then everything starts again...

After HF1.21c the A/T is extremely sluggish, unresponsive and overreacting at one tme, and lazy. Hope it gets fixed in the next update.

I hope this is the same or similar problem as Dominic has, if not, apologize me for hijacking the topic.

It sounds like there are very sharp wind shifts (weather engine could definitly be the problem). Check if this still happens without weather.

Nope, happened with clear skies as well, it had nothing to do with weather. The bus handled strong and fast wind changes for more than three or four months quite well, why shouldn't it now as well? Blaming it on the weather engine, in this case, rather sounds like an excuse from the developers... :) But anyway, now it looks ok with the new fix, at least for me, and I'm happy with it.
