Black screens

glennolls

Recommended Posts

Just installed a318/319 v 1.21 on FSX Deluxe SP2 and have black screens for the NDs, ECAMs and left hand MCDU. The right hand MCDU has options greyed out, the only selectable items here are OPTIONS and LOAD/FUEL

I have tried suggestions elsewhere in the forum but no joy. Uninstalling and reinstalling has made not difference either.

Any Suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Where is your FSX installed?

Did you install and run everything as Administrator?

What is the exact version number of you fsx.exe?

Thanks for your replies so far mopperle

FSX is installed in directory C:\ FSX (not in program files as it likes to default to) all installed as administrator

Version is 10.0.61472.0

So I suggest to completely uninstall the Airbus, remove any remaining folder of the Airbus installtion and do a fresh install.

Sorry, something in your FSX seems to be clompetely messed up, but no idea what it could be. Only thing for sure: not a bug in the Airbus.

Fsx is perfectly serviceable, no issues elsewhere just that the airbus isn't working for some reason. Only thing I can do is a full uninstall/ reinstall of fsx to see if anything comes of that...

Maybe a repair installtiuon of SP2 helps. Did you install SP1 before installing SP2?

To repair SP2 on Windows Vista or Windows 7

  1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then click Uninstall a program.
  2. Click Microsoft Flight Simulator X Service Pack 2, and then click Uninstall.
  3. Click Flight Simulator X, and then click Repair.
  4. Reinstall Service Pack 2.

Fsx is perfectly serviceable, ...

Well, I beg to differ. We got software that runs with tens of thousands of people but not on your system. That simply HAS to mean that there is something on your system that is not standard. We just do not know what it is.

Dear Mr Kok,

I've read your answers on many topics and I regnognised the sentence : "We got software that runs with tens of thousands of people but not on your system" several times. I understand you, of cours BUT...

Each problem is unique, is n' it?

So, I bring you some informations:

PC: Sony Vaio Graphic Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GT (1,5 Go Display memory) RAM: 4Go

OP: Vista SP2 (Yes, it's supported, I've seen it on your page: http://fr.shop.aerosoft.com/eshop.php?action=article_detail& s_supplier_aid=13258&s_design=DEFAULT&shopfilter_category=Flight+Simulation&s_language=france :hi2_s: )

I've FSX SP2 Version standard (many times reinstalled)

I've reinstalled and reinstalled your addon (Airbus A119-320)

and still: ECAM black and no liaison between the use of the throttle and the effect on the plane (It doesn't move at all) althought the modifications of the throttle apears on the PFD.

OK, I know, you have more than ten of thousands satisfied customers but, perhaps do you have an idea for one how is not?

I thank you in advance

Something on your system is not as expected and that can be for 2 main reasons:

- simconnect is not properly installed/broken

- certain system files are missing especially the Microsoft Visual C++ versions 2005, 2008 and 2010, latest versions

Please check this and install them if missing

And, btw, your link above is not correct. ;)

To Mopperle and Ubersu: Thanks fellows. So, I'm not alone on this bitter earth...

To Ubersu: Thank's a lot for your answer. I pretty like fun BUT no need for ground power on because I made APU available (and if it was, how do you explain that there no interface between the throttle and the engines? I mean , when I set the Throttle on TOGA, I see the Throttle move but I don't hear any sound and the plane just don't move) .

The display brightness are turned up on a way that the knobs almost felt on my knees...

To Mopperle: Thanks a lot for your advices BUT I have the Visual C++ 2013 installed. (For the VC++ 2035, Bill said I have to wait...).

About simconnect, as far I'm concern, it 's installed when you install FSX. Am I wrong? And installing FSX, I have done so many times that I can't count it. To change the way to install simconnect, I have also execute the 3 files you put on this forum siminstall1.msi, siminstall2.msi, siminstall3.msi but ... nada...

So, I'am still the poor lonesome cowboy... without his A320

Btw: Sorry, the link was:

http://fr.shop.aerosoft.com/eshop.php?action=article_detail&s_supplier_aid=13258&s_design=DEFAULT&shopfilter_category=Flight%20Simulation&s_language=france

I put it just to verify that VISTA was supported by the soft.

Thanks a lot for your advices BUT I have the Visual C++ 2013 installed.

That doesn't matter. an old piece of software like FSX often requires explicitly old libraries. So please install them, you find them on the Microsoft Downloadpage.

Also did you install SP1 before installing SP2?

Dear Mopperle,

I really thanks you for your efforts to help me. So, I 've (re)installed Visual C++ 2005, 2008 (not immidiatly 2010 because when the installer has understood that I had yet the 2013 version, he refused to install 2010. So I desinstalled the 2013 one and reinstall the 2010 version.

Unfortunetly: ECAM black... No engine thrust.

By the way, I didn't say that fsx works perfectly and, for exemple, I can start and fly with the Microsoft Airbus A321. It works pretty well ( Although, I can't say that it "flew" because, if that bird is really flying, I must be a fish. Even a rooquie like me can take off and land with this "airplane", without any problem...).

Probably you will say I'm wrong but If you are sure that Vista can manage aerosoft A 320, the problem is, perhaps, that the Asinput.dll is loaded on a incorrectly manner? Can I verify that it as been really loaded?

Trying to find a solution by myself, I put all the neccessary dll (Flightrecorder, Raaspro, FMGS, Airbus_ecam_2D, Asc, AS_ND_GDI, AsInput,FBV, and Airbusxe) in a separate folder and I changed the fsx.cfg to oblige fsx to load the dll from this folder: nothing... For sure, I did put a brand new fsx.cfg to proceed with other trials...

Do you have still enought patience to think about my problem?

Best regards

@Culley35: With the "IF", you can put PARIS in a bottle...

@MOPPERLE: Thanks a lot for your advices. I did contact the support (Emanuel Hagen: very kind, very efficient: as we say in french: "Un vrai pro.!!!"). He find THE problem and the solution. I put it here for those poor guys who have had the same problem (ECAM blacks, no thrust... when the O.S. is VISTA).

Just download Windows6.0-KB971512-x86.msu from Microsoft downloading Center and you 'll recover this splendid addon!!

Good flights to everybody!
