Hi love the Airbus A320, and I am working my way through the first Sample flight, but twice just before starting the descent both engines report a loss of oil pressure then shut down, what have I missed??....

Hi I will try to get a screenshot, the warning appears in the PFD in amber oil pressure less than13psi?, then engine one quits then seconds later engine two the Oil pressure reported on the engines is normal, I have checked the P3D failures and made sure they were turned off ( i never use them) and I don't use F/S passengers.

I the only unusual thing is that I am using a P3D saved flight as I go through the set up, I will try the whole procedure starting from a default flight today as I know in FSX that sometimes user saves could mess things up!!!!

Thankyou for your quick reply and I will get back to you with the results

Apparently the issue is fixed by "load a predefined panel state" but i am not sure what a predefined panel state might be :mecry_s: I start "cold and dark" using the FMS do you think this is what they ment? Still having fun flying......

  • Screenshot?
  • FSX or P3D?
  • other addons used influencing an aircraft?
  • did you work through the stepby-step guide?

....

Don't know how many hundred flights I did meanwhile under FSX and P3D, but never experienced this.

Hi P3D, REX FTX central for P3D on a fresh install on a new drive no other addon aircraft, I will do a screen shot, but it takes 45-50 minutes to get to the point when it happens , yes I am going through the step by step guide and yes I also have hundreds of flights in FSX and now P3D including the Majestic Q400 and A2A B17, Cessna 172 etc, and I have had issues like this, both pilot error and code issues, eg A2A's Spitfire overheated radically for three or four patches, equally I may have made a mistake and missed some vital point and was hoping that someone would say "A ha" thats easy he's not done.........

If not then I will plod on trying things

Hi just complete a flight Innsbruck to Nice, no loss of oil failure, however oil was consumed start at 15.6 and ended at 14.7 at 1hour17mins, the fault lights came on at>13.

Hi Mathijs, it is very interesting that you have not programmed for failures or oil leaks, but the Airbus definitely reported (in Amber) Oil >13 and 10-15 seconds later the engines quit.

Could the engine failures be unrelated to the oil low warning, P3D i think has icing and although i was in clear all weather flying the temps were low could P3D ice the A320s engines? I was not running the De icers at the time of the faults, this flight i ran them all the way
