No V speed autofill cant enter different transition altitude

When entering flighplan and performance data in the MCDU, I'm unable to enter a transition level of FL180, the default FL100 can't be altered. Also, after entering the fuel block setting and desired TO flap, the V speeds do not enter automatically as they did in the AXE version. Finally just a minor issue, if I select Cold and Dark for cockpit startup, then select the battery switch, the button light does not illuminate behind this switch, it remains dark.

The transition altitude is set by the AIRAC data - the level is generally set by ATC. V speeds will not fill until the flight plan is complete, the switch philosophy is to be dark in normal use...

As DJ already said the Transition Altitude is taken directly from the AIRAC, so it is correct. Please note that 180 is only used in the USA and Canada, elsewhere they are very different.

In German for example it's 5000 (exept for Munich which has 7000).

Please try the tutorial flight as that explains how to fly the Airbus properly.

FL180 is also used in Australia where my flighplans are used, why then, when entering a flighplan for Australian routes doesn't the AIRAC automatically change the transition level to FL180 as previously mentioned. Why can't I manuially enter this value as I could with AXE A320?

I am aware of the need to complete the FP before V speeds are calculated - I have flown the AXE A320 since release, as stated, I have done this with the A320 but the V speeds will not calculate. Also the transition altitude in Australia is FL180, which is what my flighplan is based on. If this is determined by the AIRAC why then does the transition altitude in the left MCDU show FL100 instead of FL180 after entering the flighplan route.

Hi!

Regarding Transition Altitude in Australia, I checked in Navigraph and NavDataPro and in both databases TA for all airports is 10000ft and this matches airport data available on-line.

I discovered that it won't work out your v speeds until the flightplan has a departure runway entered.

Make sure you know which runway you'll be using and enter it in the MCDU. That should then calculate your v speeds.
