So, the Vistamare modules are not the key problem anymore, as even when they are available, the AES code could not be implemented here, as this parts of P3D are not stayable and maybe not continued in future. So no way to transfer AES to P3D.

To develop a complete new product with the limited "standard" features of Simconnect is not a very usefull approach. As long as there are no other option coming in future to control animated object and sequences, I don't see any way to invest time here.

Well it was good while it lasted. :ididit_s:

Another reason why my decision to retain FS9 for flying tubes and GA in P3D is vindicated.

AES has been, by far, my most expensive add-on for FS even taking into account the generous discount allowed for credit purchases. AES has been a very successful product for Aerosoft, perhaps its most successful; after all simMarket rates it No.3 bestseller of all time. I surmise no shortage of development 'seed' money therefore.

Such a disappointment for the majority of AES users however, when the premier development company for flight sim puts it in 'the too hard basket.'

I see another competitor is 'throwing their hat in the ring.' At least they have some confidence in the future. With PMDG at last about to fully support P3D the last real barrier for many to transition to P3D is overcome. AES, just a pleasant memory. End of product lifecycle. Life goes on. ;)

+1

AES has taken a very disappointing path the last while. Not only in matter of the P3D support. Also the FSX development stagnates.

More and more promises of features that should already be there, in mind of the competing products, and no results.

I ask myself if exactly this success has harmed the product development in the past years?

Guys.

I know how you are all feeling. Just remember one thing.

The FS world is not that big and people who made us all happy with nice add-on spend really a lot of time to create those things. Also most of this people are doing all this while at the same time holding a normal job. So before we paint the wall all black just remember this to.

Not to mention all the people who choose to get the stuff and not pay for it. Again we are being punished as a costumer that someone don't understand the meaning of support to something that we all love so much. In other words the people have ruined all this them selves so if any are to be blamed look there.

That we still have so much is thanks to companies like Aerosoft. Don't forget that to :-)

Jesper
