a318/a319 & a320/a321 bug

Hi.

At first all is well, the aircraft, scenery, everything loads fine. I take-off and make the trip, but when the time comes to go see the map coordinates for the ILS and go back to my plane, it gets buggy. Disappears or the plane cockpit and even in some cases the scene itself. Then, i came back to FSX´s menu and he said "FSX has crashed". My FSX is okay with it, only happens with this product from Aerosoft. I've tried with the default FSX a320 own and do everything right from A to Z and FSX didn´t crash.

I got some examples.

Can Anyone help? :confused2_s:

That indicates you are either not on FSX SP2 status, or that you are running out of VAS memory.

I have acceleration pack and a High Perfomance PC but where can i configure the VAS memory dedicated to FSX ?

VAS memory is managed automatically by windows. But you can make sure that there will be enough for FSX.

As a 32bit application FSX manage 4GB of VAS at most. When using a 32bit Windows FSX will only get 3GB at most. Only with a 64bit Windows FSX will be able to get the maximum possible amount of 4GB.

So the recommendation is a 64bit Windows and at least 6GB of RAM to make sure that FSX will get it's 4GB VAS.

A very good article describing the VAS topic can be found here:

Just to be clear, in the [GRAPHICS] section of fsx.cfg add the entry HIGHMEMFIX=1

DJ

Then add the high mem tweak and most likely the problem will be solved

Malcom, you could have a terabyte of memory but as FSX is a 32 bit application it can only use the first 4 Gb (and after the OS needs some you will have around 3.3 left). I am not sure what you mean by a tutorial or program to fix it. We have never seen this issue not being caused by a lack of memory or an incorrect SP2. If handling those issues do not solve it I would suggest a re-install of FSX.

Problem, solved!
I just tweaked FSX for DX10 and now it works perfectly, i supposed it was a problem from the Plane but no, the plane is perfect, all things work well.
Thanks for who tried to help me. :)
