tonibamestre 8
OK Guys, at the end I ve got the 2 virtual throttles moving with Saitek X-55 ones ( using standart FSX contols config. , no FSUIPC ), but, when I advance the levers and pull them back to Idle, the left throttle does not come full backwards, just stays 1/4 forward meanwhile right lever is correctly at idle position. Any clue why does that ? Thanks in advance.
Aerosoft Aerosoft Team [Inactive Account] 51558 Posted October 23, 2014 Aerosoft Share Posted October 23, 2014 That is caused by the fact the same channel is controlled by two axis. It's hard to check this out on the X55, but it just takes a bit of time.
tonibamestre 8
Ok, I spent some time touching in Madcatz config. and could not set a good compromiso setting for the levers. Anything I set there make stop the levers backwards at 1/3 from Idle. Any suggestion concerning numbers to put in , to get a good result ? Cheers. Aerosoft Aerosoft Team [Inactive Account] 51558 Posted October 23, 2014 Aerosoft Share Posted October 23, 2014 It's not there, it's in the FSX control settings. Settings | Controls | ... Of course assuming you have ALL the controls full calibrated. I strongly recommend you to remove that software from MadCatz as it causes all kinds of problems in FSX and it's not needed in any way. Bry-the-fly 0
I am new to this sort of thing, can you give me full instrtuctions using Rhino X55 throttles with F-14 and FSX settings? (I gave up on MadCatz some time ago, when I wanted to use 4 engined a/c.) cheers
Aerosoft Aerosoft Team [Inactive Account] 51558 Posted January 6, 2015 Aerosoft Share Posted January 6, 2015 Just plug it in (do not install any of the software that come with it) and it should work. If you want to assign standard FSX functions to the buttons you can use the standard FSX interface. If you want to add some of the more specific functions things get complex rather fast, but I am sure that the folks in the F-14 support forum will be able to assist. I currently have over fifty aircraft in my FSX fleet - some of them with specific functions.....to change the control method of all of them, by removing the saitek software for the sake of one, dosen't seem like good idea! As you may know, fsuipc and the saitek software are likely to clash. FSX is twitchy enough without risking a mixture of control software. I know that it is early days to be giving up............but is it possible to obtain a refund? I bought it from flightsimstore.com.

Aerosoft Aerosoft Team [Inactive Account] 51558 Posted January 6, 2015 Aerosoft Share Posted January 6, 2015 But you only have to remove the Saitek software from your computer, not from aircraft. And of course all the standard commands of aircraft are the same, you do not set the commands per aircraft but one time in the sim. I doubt you'll find a better stick! Bry-the-fly 0
I have used the Saitek software to add extra commands for certain aircraft. I would need to use fsuipc to do the same thing. There is no way that I would do that - if FSX threw a wobbly as a consequence, it would take me two weeks of loading disks to start again from scratch.......been there, done that!! It is a shame because I was looking forward to this aircraft, but I'm afraid that I cannot use it if I have to do as you suggest. I will try to get a refund from the supplier. Thanks for your help. Bry-the-fly 0
I carried on trying to activate the throttles without losing the use of the Saitek sofware and I found a tick-box that said "alternate thottles"............so I ticked it and guess what? The Rhino throttles work OK..........thought I would let you know in case someone else has the same question. You have to mouse click the individual throttle on startup, but that is normal.
