dihedral 7
Hello, I am running prepar3d version 2.3.11345.0 and I have a few stored flight plans located here: C:\Users\Me\Documents\Aerosoft\AerosoftAirbusExtended\FlightPlans I can load them into the A320/321 but when running the A318/319 they are not found when attempting to load into the MCDU. Any clues here? I'd be happy to offer any additional information that would help. Thanks!
Deputy Sheriffs mopperle 4162 Posted October 5, 2014 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted October 5, 2014 You are looking in the wrong directory. For all future Airbus versions the directory has changed to ...\Aerosoft\Airbus\Flightplans

jongreen 0
Thanks for this info but I have the reverse issue. The 318/9 finds the plans in the folder path you described, but the 320/1 still looks in the other original folder. I use FS Commander and I have to export my AXE plans into one folder or the other, but not both. Is there a file tweak I can do to ensure both aircraft look into the same folder for their plans? Thank you JON GREEN

No, see my post above. This "issue" will be solved with the new A320/321. But if you stick to the old bus and do not want to upgrade, you simply copy the files between the folders. Deputy Sheriffs Tom A320 4915 Posted October 10, 2014 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted October 10, 2014 Or setup a simple folder link between the both folders: copy all flight plans into the new folder (Documents\Aerosoft\Airbus\FlightPlans) change the export path of your route planner tool (FSC, PFPX, ...) to the new folder delete the old folder (Documents\Aerosoft\AerosoftAirbusExtended\FlightPlans) open a command line and change into the AXE root folder (Documents\Aerosoft\AerosoftAirbusExtended) enter the following command: mklink /D FlightPlans "C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\Aerosoft\Airbus\FlightPlans" you might have to change the path according to your used Windows version. From now on the old AXE will also use the new A318/A319 flight plans folder and you don't have to copy files all the time
Deputy Sheriffs mopperle 4162 Posted October 10, 2014 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted October 10, 2014 Very good idea Tom, although I'm always a bit afraid of telling people about symbolic links and working at commandline prompt. Not everybody is familiar with such stuff.
Deputy Sheriffs Tom A320 4915 Posted October 10, 2014 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted October 10, 2014 I guess if someone is not familiar with a command line and is also a little bit afraid of it he will carry the burden to copy some files instead

Ray Smith 0
Hi I found that the mklink /D switch only created a symbolic link (I use WIN 7 Pro 64 bit). This looked OK in the OS but it didn't work within FSX and AXE. I used the /J switch which creates a junction, therefore a "hard" link which does work perfectly. Thanks for the pointer in the right direction. Ray
Deputy Sheriffs Tom A320 4915 Posted October 25, 2014 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted October 25, 2014 Hi Ray, On my Win 8.1 the symbol links work fine. I use them also heavily to switch between the release and beta versions of the A318/A319 and A320/A321 to keep things properly separated from each other. jpclourenco 0
Or setup a simple folder link between the both folders: copy all flight plans into the new folder (Documents\Aerosoft\Airbus\FlightPlans) change the export path of your route planner tool (FSC, PFPX, ...) to the new folder delete the old folder (Documents\Aerosoft\AerosoftAirbusExtended\FlightPlans) open a command line and change into the AXE root folder (Documents\Aerosoft\AerosoftAirbusExtended) enter the following command: mklink /D FlightPlans "C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\Aerosoft\Airbus\FlightPlans" you might have to change the path according to your used Windows version. From now on the old AXE will also use the new A318/A319 flight plans folder and you don't have to copy files all the time It didn't work for me so i tried other way xcopy C:\Users\YOUR NAME\Documents\Aerosoft\AerosoftAirbusExtended\FlightPlans C:\Users\YOUR NAME\Documents\Aerosoft\Airbus\FlightPlans /A /E /C /R /D It only replace newer files and works great. Thank you for giving me the idea
