A346 16
When you select the rose mode LS for the ND, the ILS data (loc/gs/information on the right top) is only shown when the LS Button on the EFIS control panel is activated. According to my documentation the rose mode is independent of the LS Button. The LS button only controls the PFD. So the ILS data on the ND should be always visible when in range of the ILS. Aerosoft Aerosoft Team [Inactive Account] 51558 Posted September 30, 2014 Aerosoft Share Posted September 30, 2014 What software version is your documentation covering? There have been changes to this.
A346 16
My personal version is pretty old, but i have asked a pilot with a version from October 2012 and there it's the same. It would not make any sense, because you would remove redundancy. When your LS button would be broken, your indication on the ND would be also gone, even if your ILS receiver is working. I checked up on this and you are correct, it is independent of the LS button. Some other parameter are involved but we will put it in the to do list for the SP.
