a320maxi 39
Hello, I have just found an excellent app from Airbus in the appstore for calculating T.O. data. You can make your own rwy and modify: slope ASDA TORA TODA elevation obstacles then feed the app with other data like: wind, gusts OAT QNH rwy condition TOW FLEX/TOGA flaps settings (possible to set OPT CONF, the app then selects the best suiting configuration itself) A. Ice Air condition the app then gives you the data the MCDU would give you + it gives you the optimum FLEX Temp, recommended flaps setting and tells you the T.O. run you will need and the ASD and STOP Margin. This wonderful app exists in a landing (with failures scenarios) and a loadsheet version as well. All three are for the A320 only, but its free and definitely worth it, check it out! Best regards, Maximilian
Deputy Sheriffs mopperle 4162 Posted September 5, 2014 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted September 5, 2014 Are you talking about FlySmart? if so, it is quite useless as it is only a demo and needs a contract with SAS.
a320maxi 39
Yes, I am. Its a demo, but for your A320 it is usable for flying from and to destinations with short or high elevation rwys It provides a little little bit more information than the MCDU. If I recall correctly, then the contract is only needed for rw operational purposes.
Emi 5161
There is a freeware tool available called TPC (Takeoff Performance Calculator) which also provides excellent calculations. I always use those and it even support the A319, 321, 333, 333, 342 and 343 too!

Emi 5161
No, sadly it's only for Windows, but this way at least all our customers can use it. I'd LOVE to see such a tool in the Appstore!
