Flight planning EFHK - XXXX

Recommended Posts

I'm wondering if anyone else is running into similar issues. I'm a Finn so I fly out of EFHK quite a bit. The thing is, I've noticed all my flightplans out of Helsinki are always from the RWY direct to ODEXA. It never selects a SID for the departure.

I have not seen this at any other airport, yet, but wondering if this is common and is there a way to fix it other than creating the flightplan manually?

I did open a ticket to support for this but got redirected to the forum, so here it goes. Anyone able to provide further insight please do.

Regards,

Mats

Hello Mats,

PFPX cannot automatically select a SID as the exit points don't link to the required enroute waypoints via dct's.

A SID cannot be submitted for validation purposes either.

To give you an example. Here is a plan from EFHK to ESSA and then ESSA to EFHK. The images can be viewed here .

Capture01 is the plan from EFHK to ESSA and shows a DCT out of Helsinki, while the Capture02 is from ESSA to EFHK and has a SID out of Stockholm.

Do you have any clue why it doesn't include it in Helsinki?

The end point of the SID's at Helsinki do not meet the first waypoint, It is not possible at EFHK, take a look at the charts.

A departure from Helsinki is 'SID DCT WAYPOINT' where only certain waypoints meet the departure criteria.

Here are the EFHK Departure connecting points as published in the RAD:

And for Arrivals:
