No AI Aircraft in Aerosoft 'Mega' Schiphol Airport

Have just bought Aerosofts 'Mega' Schiphol airport for FSX only to discover that it is 'mega' empty!! No planes to be seen anywhere - not a single one! And yes, having read a similar thread, I did disable aircraft shadows in the FSX graphics settings but to no avail. IMHO I think you should be informed BEFORE you buy a product that you may have to disable some FSX graphics in order for the product to work - not find this out after you have made the purchase!

But enough with the gripes (and before I apply the term 'ripp-off' to what should be, on the face of it, an excellent product) does anybody know of a fix for this problem? How do you get aircraft in Schiphol airport?

You're blaming Aerosoft for something that is clearly a problem on your computer and has nothing to do with the scenery itself. I got this airport too and I do have AI traffic on it, so the scenery itself is good. It is able to handle AI traffic.

Now the question remains, why does the AI traffic not work on your computer? Since AI traffic works independant of any scenery you should also have AI traffic on EHAM if you disable the scenery in your scenery library. If there's still no AI traffic then, it could be that there are simply no AI sceduled flights out of this airport. Only if you do have AI traffic with the scenery disabled and you do not have AI traffic with the scenery enabled it is to blame on the scenery, but I seriously doubt that.

The fact that you should disable aircraft shadows in order to see the aircraft is a general FSX bug and has nothing to do with any scenery. Therefor it is not the responsibility of the scenery developers to warn for this. However, there are some FSX native AI models that do work with aircraft shadows enabled, it's only the FS2004 models working in FSX that have this problem. If you're using AI models from for example FAIB (737 and A320) or UTT (787) you can always see the aircraft no matter if you got aircraft shadows enabled or disabled.
