ScottecLEMD 14
is there anyway to change the default views. When I load up the Airbus or Twin Otter, my view is usually set at something like 0.69 zoom level, making everything appear distant and skewed. I then manually set this to a zoom level of 0.90 and set the seat position as if I wsa actually sitting in the cockpit. This gives me a better view. Trouble is, as soon as I quit FSX I need to redo this each time. Any ideas? Thanks Ken
KyleD 1027
Hi Ken, Have you tried setting the "InitialZoom= " value in your FSX Cameras.cfg? If not, open up your Cameras.cfg (located where your FSX.cfg is in "username/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/FSX") and scroll down to [CameraDefinition.002] which should say "Title = Virtual Cockpit". About halfway down that entry you will see "InitialZoom = 0.7". Change that to "0.9" and close and save it. Here's a screenshot to show: I'm not sure if that will work or not, but worth a try. ScottecLEMD 14
Hi Kyle Success, I changed as suggested and it works fine in VC mode. What I really wanted to do was change the default zoom level in the Cockipt View bar which I have also found under the aircraft.cfg file so all is good - many thanks.
