Is there a rough ETA for the next version of AES?

Recommended Posts

With lots of new and great airports having been released lately such as Bergen X and Bologna X from Aerosoft is there a rough estimate for when next version of AES will be released?

Well, lets cross fingers and this words could be prophetic, time and patience is what we have give to Oliver, as a loyal AES costumer :boohoo_s: .

Hi,

According to the releasenotes 2.35a: "The new features I will provide according to current plans, end of June, first on the Aerosoft forum as

public beta, it can participate anyone who is aware that there may optionally be problems." Olliver didn't mention the year  No, serious, I think Olliver is working hard, so we have to wait and see. Maybe he can tell us here what's the progress on the beta. That would be nice.

Yeah, my intention was in no way trying to stress a release.

I'm very grateful for all the joy AES already gives me, I use it with all my 30+ airports.

Was simply curious just like I said in my original post if there is a rough ETA for next release where we'll hopefully see support for some of the latest airport sceneries that have been released.

I won't buy any of the new releases until there has been an AES release to support them. I understand Oliver is very busy so maybe they should provide someone to help out so there isn't the lag between scenery release and AES release.

I bought Lisbon with AES compatibility in the product description, which has proven to be untrue. As long as AES won't work with LPPT I can not (will not) use it.

I will not buy Bergen, Bologna, or any other release before a new AES comes out. I don't need new features soon, I just want to fly to LPPT. ;-)

Wrong!

Lisbon is AES compatible, what means that Lisbon is designed in a way that allows Oliver to give Lisbon working jetways and everything else.

You are mixing up 2 different things:

- AES compatibel, like described above

- supported by AES, working jetways etc.

Don't be so pedantic, you know what I mean. ;-)

Lisbon and the latest version of AES do not work together, i.e. they are not compatible. That is the only thing that matters to me as a customer.

I have all your other airports in Europe so I will have plenty of other destinations to fly to, but I am really looking forward to fly to LIS as well, as it looks fabulous and seems easy on the frames from what I tested with the default F-18. (-:

Thanks Mathis for the aclaration, as AirdailyX, I started to think just as they, but ... hey stop doing... because I'm FS2004 Hard die user, then... I screw myself and depend of the AES. Any way Thanks for the information Mathis.

FSX/P3D. As a former user of Aerosoft Airport Enhancement Services, or should I say as a vehemently staunch former user of AES, I truly never thought a day would come where i would have to abandon what I personally considered for many years to be the very best addon utility for flight simulation. Well besides FSUPIC of course. Sadly, according to Mathijs Kok, Prepar3D compatability may never happen. Vistamare compatability is extremely bleak. So I have kissed AES goodbye. Sadly, GSX lacks many important AES features but sometimes we have to just be thankful for what we get. Obviously, FSDT among many developers see the promising future of P3D and they are ensuring compatibility with all their products. Currently in development by the team is the Cargo Operations Expansion of GEX. So if they do develop the FedEx mega hub in Memphis, this cargo addon will be a perfect match! Speaking of which, don't forget to vote on FSDT's next airport! Thanks to ADX reader James Cummings for the tipoff.
