Fuel Tank Capacity for the A321

Good Evening Everyone:

I know this was asked before but I would like to dust off the topic. There are many airlines out there that operate the 321 with a tank capacity for the A321 of 42,200lbs, 47,200lbs, and 52,500lbs.

I was wondering if there are plans to make the A321 accept these different fuel amounts, or if not would it be possible then to just make the 321 take the larger fuel capacity (52,500) so that way many people can do the transcon flights with this aircraft without having to divert for fuel?

Thank you for your thoughts,

Nate

I am sorry Nate, but this is not planned.

Can I ask why not? :confused2_s: There are many of us here in the US that would like to fly the 321 transcon (like it is designed and built for) but cannot do it in this 321 because of the restrictions of the fuel tanks. The airline I work for needed 44,200 just to do a transcon today. Many VAs will penalize you for changing your fuel once brakes are released, so you are FORCED do to shorter flights, instead of the long flights that this aircraft was built for.

If you are not planning on making this option available as part of the package, maybe you could help and provide a .cfg edit for the fuel capacity.

And just out curiosity, is changing to allow LBS and display for LBS planned at all or is that a pipe dream?

LBS is considered for the new busses, not for the older ones.

We did not consider the larger capacity tanks as that would mean changed flight models etc etc. Also when we build the project there simply was no demand for it. In the new project it will be possible though!

Thanks Mathijs! I am looking forward to it.
