You always have to turn on the batteries before doing anything else, then you can connect to the GPU. All mentioned in the tutorial, which I strongly recommend to work through. The only thing is that you need GPU or External power already active or programmed on a button or key, because right MCDU isn't energized and you will need access to the right MCDU functions to activate GPU or External power. Emi 5161 Posted April 22, 2014 Share Posted April 22, 2014 You will have your GPU connected already if you load the Airbus in the Cold and Dark state, so then you could connect the GPU directly without using the batteries to connect the GPU first.
