chumley 9
In pre 1.14 versions I could manually add the chosen altitude of my flight in lieu of OPT or MAX. The screen allows this to happen but when the plan is computed it automatically reverts to the OPT value. Why is this so? Thanks
bcars 23
I've had no problems with 1.4 setting an Initial Altitude, unless I have a step climb or the altitude is greater than the max allowed(service ceiling) or max capable(short trip) . You might also check the Advanced tab, and check for intermediate altitudes.
tcasclimb 0
Funny you should mention this. I have noticed this on 2 occasions when I was using the Q400 flying in North America. At first I thought it was like a minimum altitude for the airway so I just overrode the optimum by setting a hard limit. I haven't looked back at the issue since. I will check it out again when I have the time.
tcasclimb 0
Yep you are right, setting a manual altitude doesn't work anymore, the workaround to this for the time being is to change the altitude cap.
