Martijn Coenen 9
Hello, I would like to suggest a feature for GATC. An "Advanced mode" for those who like to use the text commands instead of the mouse interaction. The current situation is that when you want to command an airplane, you click on the left flight strip to "activate" the callsign in the text bar or you give the mouse commands by clicking and sliding or using the left/right actions to open up the command boxes for use with the mouse. What I like to suggest is the following: An advanced mode that 'disables' the toggle boxes (height/direction/speed/expedite/etc) when clicking on a plane on the map. The only thing a click does is filling the text bar with the callsign. This way, you don't need to look up the flightstrip. It's a fast way to use the text commands. It smooths the operation. By making this an option, you can give the user the choice: Use the mouse options combined with the current text commands or give the user the option to use the text as main operation mode. The use of the mouse to direct planes should still be there in this mode for changing course or directing approaches as it's done now.
