johnor999 2
Hello! Will there be any further work on how PFPX behaves around airports that have no SIDs or STARs? If that is the case then I can provide you with a ton of examples where autoroute comes up with strange routings. Best regards Johan
Checkursix 3
I agree, some of the departure routes for Canadian airports are extremely bizzare (like the routing out of CYYT for CYYZ attached below)!
johnor999 2
If you could predefine waypoints/navaids to be used for departure or arrival for these kind of airports, then that could be a solution. Best regards Johan
Checkursix 3
Yes, that is how another system I use handles it. In the example airport above, if you don't predefine a route, it will route via one of the specified "SIDs" for the airport. Every airport in this system has a SID/STAR table that defines what routes to take in and out of an airport to connect to the enroute structure, regardless of whether there are actual published procedures or not. It doesn't always give the perfect route, but it won't spit out garbage like the example above!
FlightSimSoft.com 283
The route in your example seems to be strange. I get: CYYT4 YYT N102B MIILS DCT YXI IMEBA2 BTW: the departure/arrival fix option is a good idea to consider.
FlightSimSoft.com 283
Added the Dpearture/Arrival fix as request to the Airport Property Editor. Should help finding better routes on airports without SIDs/STARs

johnor999 2
One thing that could be improved, is if you could add the ability to add more than one prefered dep/arr. Best regards Johan
