F92 5
Hi all, standard departures and arrivals are presented only in an abreviated, max. 6 letters format in PFPX. So for example a DOMUX2X arrival bekomes a DOMU2X arrival in PFPS. I can't understand why. Even in the printed briefing it's still in this wrong abreviated form. That's realy annoying! Allways three greens!!!
Deputy Sheriffs mopperle 4162 Posted September 1, 2013 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted September 1, 2013 And what exactly is wrong with this? There is no standard naming and those abreviations come from the navdatabase and might even differ between different providers (in this case either Lufthansa Systems or Jeppessen)
F92 5
Well these routes have names, and in a flight briefing this names should be used... so far it's more or less a personal preference but they are also abreviated in ATC flight plan created by PFXP and there you are - in this flight plan some authoreties ask you to insert departure and/or arrival routes in field 15 and if you take a look in for example the german AIP (ENR, flight planning) you will find no abreviation in the eaxamples. Frank Schrewe 5
If you look at the standard departure or arrival charts you will find the same abbreviations PFPX uses. So it seems to be quite normal to use them... Frank
