sgreen91 0
Here is the quick route PFPX chose for this flight: KBNA CHADM1 SWAPP J42 BNA DCT MEI RYTHM3 KMSY Its going 70 miles NE then back 70 SW back over KBNA then onto KMSY. Just for reference I tried this route auto generated in another route finder program for FSX and came up with this: KBNA DRURY1.HAGIE IGB MEI.RYTHM3 KMSY Flightaware had the route as follows: DRURY1 JALAR MEI RYTHM3 Am I doing something wrong with the quick route or is my data corrupt. FlightSimSoft.com 283
The auto-route doesn't have the Direct between HAGIE and IGB in the database. So if you add a direct airway bewteen HAGIE and IGB (Via the airway Editor), the route finder will just do fine.
sgreen91 0
Not sure I understand Christian. The HAGIE and IGB routing was done by FSBUILD not PFPX. PFPX had me go northeast 70 miles before routing me back southeast 70 more miles to overfly my departure airport. For some reason it picked the CHADM1 SID which is a departure procedure to the northeast not the DRURY1 SID which is a departure to the southwest where I was going. I'm sure you know SID's in the US are not runway dependent as in Europe. The DRURY1 SID can be flown out of all runways for departure to the Southwest. FlightSimSoft.com 283
Added direct between HAGIE and IGB in new Database update. Found route is much better now.
alpha117 51
Hi Sean Just when I thought I had things under control I'm sure you know SID's in the US are not runway dependent as in Europe. The DRURY1 SID can be flown out of all runways for departure to the Southwest.
