From what I've seen this scenery is going to be a winner...can't wait! Question, though...will there be 3d taxiway and runway lights?

That's more or less standard these days.

One note about this: Heatrow airport (I know it´s hard to believe cause every airport has these) does not use blue edgelights*, just the green centerline lights. Therefore the scenery only contains 3D approchlights. Everything else (like RWY lights or centerlights) are "under floor lights" which I consider to be more "2D" than "3D".

Thorsten
* I may be wrong "cause you never know", but during the last 7 years I never came across a picture  showing a single blue edgelight at EGLL. Also the charts don´t mention blue edge lights.

Does he mean "will the taxi lights be compatible with 3D vision technology?" Some developers now support us very minute minority of users.

Has this been moved to pinned-topics because it's being released this weekend? Just asking... :-)

You never know when it's being released. They might discover a bug at the very last moment and decide to withdraw the release in order to fix this bug first. That's why release dates are never given.

The video is coming along very nicely. Here is a quick screenie, note that I edited the shot with some blur in it. The scenery runs really smooth. Using WOAI in this shot and it's set at 88% and all the ORBX scenery like Global, Vector & UK are installed and blend in pretty much perfectly.

I am a bit sad to see that there are no elevations created, I mean the underground bus roads, it looks a bit outdated.

Otherwise the textures look very nice. Its a must own for me

Hi,
underground work for FSX (and P3D) terrain is not easy because the airports are initially flat. Digging into the ground means to add extra lower flatten polys and reshape the flat surrounding with textured polygons (layers) etc (and the user needs a very high mesh setting). While designing I came to the decission that some streets going underground are not worth the extra amount of needed memory. And it would cut the DX10 compability due to the needd layers only working in DX9.
In short: It would be 150 to 200 MB more VAS memory usage (tiled textured photoground layers) and DX9 only.

Ok I understand. Its a highly anticipated airport, and I can't wait to fly from it
