Updated fuel planner

We should be releasing an updated fuel planner (worked on by our latest best friend Robert Miroszewski). In the attached image you see the changes outlined in red.

We now let you enter airports to get a quick distance and dropped the flight time parameter. We also believe almost all requested changed have been included. Additionally to the better layout, better calculations and new options we also moved the parameters to a XML file so when needed you can tweak your own settings.

Of course this also facilitates the addition of the A318/A319.

Great work Aerosoft! Amazing how much work you do for us desktop-pilots and how you stay in contact with your customers. You are the best! Really! If there was a "Like" button over here you had mine without any hesitation. :excellenttext_s:

Just a quick question, are You guys considering another cabin configuration?? An all economy would be quite welcome, adding some more flexibility and realism.

Kindly

A.

Flexibility is the middle name of this new version... All parameters are now in a XML file and you can make any configuration you like:

Thanks for the kind words. But indeed, we see the released product only as a milestone in the development. That's the moment you get your hands on it and tell us what you like to see changed (okay, and fixed). I always have at least 20% of the development budget open when we release. In this case, as we follow up with the 318/319, even more.

Alternate distance? Not included?

There is the option to set the distance to the Alternate in the parameters (defaults to 200 nm) . This is not uncommon in flight planning because often a pilot needs to have multiple alternatives open.
