Expedite 5 Posted December 31, 2012 Share Posted December 31, 2012 I am missing the triple click sound when disconnecting the autopilot. It should play when there is a downgrade during approach. Let's say we are on the ILS in CAT III with both autopilots on. When switching of the Autopilot ww downgrade to ILS CAT I and the triple click sound should occur. V1VrV2 37 Posted January 1, 2013 Share Posted January 1, 2013 Could it be something in how the modes are armed and then disarmed? I distinctively recall hearing it last night while flying ILS runway 32L to KOMA. I set up with LOC armed, intercepted and tracked the localizer inbound then I armed APP and the second autopilot. The AP was then disconnected at 1,500 feet MSL and heard the triple chirp. EDIT: Ugh, this response was supposed to go on the aforementioned ILS Categories thread... Sorry.
