Okay so I have a few questions regarding Aerosoft's Airbus X.

1) Where do I activate the morse code beeper? (on the freeware airbus, I pressed Nav1 Audio Selector) - How do I activate NAV1 audio selector on Airbus X?

2) When I am given a runway to land on using ILS, where do I enter the runway heading and the ILS frequency into?

3) When I activate either SPD HOLD, ALT HOLD, HDG HOLD or any other autopilot functions, how do I know it's holding them? In the cockpit, a little circle thing pops up next to it, is this it?

4) There is two autopilot things to choose from, Autopilot 1 and Autopilot 2, what one do I select to select the regular autopilot ON?

5) When using FREEWARE Airbus, when I was landing via ILS, I had to select a knob which had two settings: NAV/GPS - Where is this setting in Airbus X so I can select it to NAV so I can land using ILS

Screenshots would be amazingly helpful.

Thanks so much!

Regards,

Look down and to the right. There's the audio control panel.

2) When I am given a runway to land on using ILS, where do I enter the runway heading and the ILS frequency into?

On the MCDU, press the NAVRAD button

3) When I activate either SPD HOLD, ALT HOLD, HDG HOLD or any other autopilot functions, how do I know it's holding them? In the cockpit, a little circle thing pops up next to it, is this it?

The active lateral, vertical and thrust modes are on the top section of the PFD.

That doesn't matter. You only should have both autopilots activated when using auto-land.

5) When using FREEWARE Airbus, when I was landing via ILS, I had to select a knob which had two settings: NAV/GPS - Where is this setting in Airbus X so I can select it to NAV so I can land using ILS

There is no NAV/GPS button. Press the APPR button and the autopilot will arm the LOC/GS modes. Press the LS button to display the ILS deviation on the PFD.

Thanks so much!

Welcome!

Hello,

Many thanks for your informative answer but I'm still in question.

How do I activate two autopilots? When I have one activated and one not activated, if I try to activate both of them, only one stays activated.

Also, when I tune in the ILS Freq, do I just press Approach Hold after I do this?

Cheers

I think it's only possible to have both autopilots activated when you are in approach mode (->autoland). In that case, you just press the button of the autopilot that is currently inactive in order to have both of them activated.

Also, when I tune in the ILS Freq, do I just press Approach Hold after I do this?

You can do that. The LOC and G/S modes will be armed. They become active when you are intercepting the localizer and glideslope.

But the regular procedure would look like this:
1) have ALT HOLD and HDG HOLD modes active with the altitude/heading you get from ATC to intercept the localizer
2) once ATC has sent you to the final course to intercept the localizer, you would first press the LOC button to capture only the localizer
3) Once you are established and still below the glideslope, you press the APPR button.

Also I would suggest that you try the Step-by-Step tutorial included with the AirbusX documentation. There are a lot of things to be learned about this aircraft. If you have still questions after working through the tutorial, feel free to ask.

Ah thanks a lot but I've messed my FSX up a little.
I've completely uninstalled FSX from my PC and I'm waiting till next month or so.

I'm gonna buy a really decent graphics card and a load of add-ons for FSX then I might post a video of it in a few months time.

Thanks for your help again!
