AES not working at activated airports

I have been a very long time user of AES and Aerosoft products and for the first time am running into some AES issues. I have recently loaded FSX and all associated addons including AES onto a new gaming laptop. My new OS is Windows 7 and am using SP1 and SP2 for FSX. AES is version 2.21. I am running both AES and FSX as administrator. As of late, if I load a saved flight, and land at an airport activated by AES, upon landing AES will not initiate...not even when pushing "ctrl" "shift" "w". There are times when I will hear the noises associated with landing on a runway that is active with AES, however, when I try to taxi and park at a gate, no AES services are available and pushing "ctrl" "shift" "w" will not even bring up a dialogue screen. Other times I will land and not hear the noises associated with AES and not have access to gate functions...and still yet, other times it will work perfectly. It is totally random. This problem still persists even if I load a brand new flight, parked at a gate, I still cannot activate AES services, even if pressing "ctrl" "shift" "w". Of course, engines are off and parking brake is on and, most importantly, AES is at the top of the scenery library. For a specifid example, today, I attempted to fly from Singapore using Imaginesim Changi software to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi using ARMI Project-VTBS-FSX 2010. I loaded the new flight at gate A10 at Singapore using a Feelthere 777 in Thai livery and was unable to call up AES. Again "ctrl" "shift" "w" would not initiate AES. For full discolusre, I am also using FSDreamTeam GSX. However, this problem long preceded my installation of GSX and when the problem does occur, I am only using AES and not GSX. I would greatly appreciate a fix to these issues. I have always enjoyed Aerosoft products and found support to be most helpful. If this issue has previosuly been addressed and resolved, I would appreciate being directed to the forum topic.
Many thanks,
Seth

Make sure you run Fsx ,and Aes as administrator, and do you have Fsx installed in the default location,I ran into problems when I first upgraded to Windows 7,and finally had to install Fsx in a folder by itself, not in the program files, now I have no problems with any add-ons working.

It was a very long process. I literally reloaded every last program that I had onto the new computer. The only items I essentially pasted were some liveries and my saved flight files. That was it. Therefore, everything is now working completely independently from the old system.
When you say run as administrator, do you mean right click on the program icon and click run as administrator or literally when I instal the programs for the first time right click the set up icon and then hitting run as administrator when? I deleted AES 2.21 and reloaded it by clicking run as administrator on the setup icon. FSX was simply installed in the normal fashion and now when I run it, I right click it and run it as administrator. That all sounds confusing so let me know if I can clarify.
FSX is in the default location in program files. I am running a 62 bit system so it is under program files (x86). All of my FSX addons are under this location as well. It seems I would have to let all addons know of the new location if I create a new location for FSX.
The thing that I cannot understand is why it will work sometimes and not at all others. Thank you again for your kinds help.

Bad idea! It is wellknown, that the default location under Win7 is the badest places for installing FSX and its addons! Install it anywhere else, like C:\FSX or on a 2nd drive.FSX is in the default location in program files. I am running a 62 bit system so it is under program files (x86). All of my FSX addons are under this location as well. It seems I would have to let all addons know of the new location if I create a new location for FSX.
When installing under the default location make sure:
- that you turn off UAC
- intstall and run ALWAYS as Adminstrator (right click on the exe and choose "Run as Adminstrator")
- when you run FSX and AES at the same time, both need also to be run as Adminstrator!

No,your going to have to un-install Fsx,and re-install it,in a new location.
