Hello,

"Externes Modell und virtuelles Cockpit, entwickelt mit neuesten Technologien "

This is the german description of the product. Does that mean the Virtual Cockpit will be reworked ?

Hi Mathijs,

Hopefully the airbus models will be realistic in performance and dynamics i.e CFM engines with different thrust settings and rate of climb and fuel burn etc... to the IAE models etc... thats what people want a realistic performing airbus an airbus to feel like an airbus not just look like one. Looking forward to release will be a good product im sure :)

I am still working with a 2011 schedule but it depends on progress of other projects. I need some people moved from the Bronco to this project.

I think that's a good move. The demand for the Airbus is bigger than for the Bronco, isn't it?

I meant; you'd be surprised how many people prefer the Bronco and similar and don't fly tubes at all, but I agree, a bus with bells is number one on a lot of lists, .although I must add that I love to fly the bus as it is right now. I added EFB from Aivlasoft for sids and stars and it works well online. However I understand that lots of people want to simulate the bus same way they do PMDG's NGX, or close to that.

I like the current bus because I can fire her up and be gone, while still have an awesome VC and model.  But I'd go for a more advanced one too ofcourse :)

Dear Lord, my worst nightmare came true!! I have a GoFlight MCP PRO and I'm considering making the move from Boeing payware's to Airbus.. but this news is a disaster to me! :(

Even using FSUIPC is really a PITA comparing against native functionality. I will be a deal-breaker between FSLabs and Aerosoft, because I need to amortize my 500$ USD purchase :)

Sorry to hear that, take it has a suggestion and not has a complain/whine.

Thanks in advance.

Here is an image that looks rather unrefined and that's because we only focused on functionality and have not spend time on the looks. But it rather cool. You see it is the updated Airbus MCDU (so with all navigation stuff, sid's stars etc) running in a browser. Or to me more precise, it interacts with FSX as a secondary input output for that system.

Why is that cool? Well, if you got a iPad or another tablet, you get to hold the MCDU in your hand and you no longer have to fiddle with your mouse. If you got some additional hardware or even a simple cockpit you can just place your tablet where the MCDU would be. Of course it will also work on any machine that has a browser, making connection as easy as entering a address. We are also considering making a small app if the web version is not fast enough. For now it seems fine, certainly if you keep in mind that the real MCDU is terribly slow.

As soon as we got a more refined looking version, we'll show more images.

Mr. Kok already said, that weather radar will not be done, because it's not possible, to do a useful weather radar in FSX

It won't have a weather radar because it isn't possible to make a proper simulation of one in FSX.

I understand when PMDG gives this reason for not making a weather radar as all the other systems of, for example, the 737 NGX are 100 % simulated like the real one but this is not the case with the new bus coming... As Mathijs sais, they want the bus accessible to a lot of simmers, not only the hardcore simmers...

Yes sure, but you have to understand that it is in NO WAY possible to even detect where rain is falling in FSX. It is either there or not. It is not saved somewhere and so you can't read it out.
The onest thing which is possible is simulating a cloud radar, but that has nothing to do with what you have in reality.

BTW, we had this discussion here befor, just search through the forums.

I understand what you say and I exactly know how does a WX radar works in reality and that it can't be reproduced in FSX... But the problem is not this one... The next Airbus will not be an hardcore representation of the real one. So puting a "cloud radar" or whatever we call it, it will not "affect" the fidelity of this representation, true ?

Secondly, they could have insert a WX radar that already exists, for those that don't want it, just don't activate it...

I am not sure what you mean by that, The basic flight dynamics files we used will stay the same as they are some of the very best I have ever seen. The fly by wire systems and auto pilot however are completely new.
