It was nice to fly over terrain again, a lot of water on the last few flights.
A beautiful approach in the middle of the mountains!
Just can't understand the thing with the glideslope on a visual approach. I held a steady 500fpm from 1500AGL to the threshold... At the speed I was flying that should have been about 3º... Isn't that how it's supposed to be?

My friends beware upon arrival to India, there must be something with those runways!
It was a bang on VORDME approach in visibility just above the minima, and still I got the off runway error... Can't understand what happened here.
Well, anyway, next up is LUKLA!

The bad news is that FSFS is nowhere near being prepared for the demands of this airfield and its unique and nerve wrecking approach! The landing score... yes, as expect it's very low!
Neverthelesss, a fun flight, mostly VFR, trying to identify the peaks, and diverting through clouds to maintain clear of terrain.
Pictures being posted along with the flight route.
And the veredict:

The flight to Colombo was essentially uneventfull, but poor visibility had me doing an ILS approach. On the rudimentary instrumentation and their terrible placement on the cockpit, this is a gruesome job on the DC3! Finally, a gust of crosswind just before landing had me closer to the grass than I'd feel confortable to...
