Man this is going to be some year for Flight-sim enthusiasts..
- Rise of Flight is looking better and better ( 2009 release )
- DCS A10 has just been released ($60)
- Il2 Cliffs of Dover will be out on the 25th of March (€70 for the collectors edition including shipping)
- Microsoft Flight is rumoured to be out later in the year
- X-Plane 10
And then we have Aerosoft's Jet Thunder .... The only really original newcomer this year.
Has there ever been a year like this? I remember the 1990's with Harrier Jump Jet, Tornado and all sims like that, but 5 new flight-sims? That must be a first.. ( And hard on my wallet.. having spend already over $230 on ROF, €72 for Il-COD. $60 for the A10.. and it's only februari !! )
(my interpretation of this article )

What is the news on the Tomcat? Found a year old reference on Facebook.. that's all ( That's why I didn't include it )don't forget Thirdwire's Tomcat sim and OFF Phase 4...
of all above I'm looking towards Jet Thunder, Thirdwire's Tomcat and Cliffs the mostof these three two are based on older yet updated engines... only JT is brand new one in fact

I have RoF, which I really like, but my 'tinternet doesn't allow me to MP duel above the fantastic scenery and the SP is lacking (being addressed?). DCS is also worth picking up, Flight looks like it might be worth a look, although hopefully MS will put in some decent orbx type scenery content (sorry Aerosoft, haven't tried any of yours yet, but my old base 'Weeze airport' looks superb btw) and XP10..ah, I'll probably end up playing most of them in the next two years
