3d lights redux

OK Folks, so after my moody session the other day I thought I'd give something back.....

This could probably use some tweaking, but, here are some 3d light redux settings I've been fiddling with recently..

light.14=6, 4,8, -7.6, fx_Shockwave_landing_light// Shockwave light

light.15=6, 4,-8, -7.6, fx_Shockwave_landing_light// Shockwave light

light.16=6, 35, 0.20, -8.53, fx_Shockwave_landing_light_light// Shockwave light

light.17=6, 35, 0.20, -8.53, fx_Shockwave_landing_light// Shockwave light

row light.16 affects the interior while the taxi light is on, so if you don't like it simply delete.

here's a pic

That's the point, why I asked above. I'm just not sure, if the Redux ligths effect is only visible on the bus, but the original lights are still visible on the ground....

No changes are made to the original Airbus light configuration in the Aircraft.cfg you simply add them under the lights settings in the [lights] section. You still have the strobes and the landing light effects they're fine.

However if you install 3d light redux after the airbusX it may over write the Airbus light jpg, assuming Aerosoft is using the default light textures.

Because Airbus X has customized lighting effects which look very nice seen from the cockpit. Unfortunately, my personal opinion, looking from outside during the day or sunset they doesn't look so nice and realistic, they are somehow dimmed, weak, almost undetectable if they are on.

Hi all (this is my first post).

I am extremely impressed with the Airbus X and I particularly love the light effects when looking out of the cockpit....

However.... when I view the landing lights from the outside view, the lights are not visible at all (as if the lights are still off). I have made sure that all the light switches are in the up (on ) position.

Is this a bug ???? Any ideas ??

I have a Geforce GTX 260, and have no other driver issues with any night light enhancements. (including Redux 3D and UT2 etc).

thanks..

Hi Damocles.

These settings you have porvided, how are they installed under the the "Lights" section? Do I delete the current ones and insert this, or does these settings go under the already existing lifgts settings withnh the cfg file?

Please advise,

Hi Jonnie

This is what I made for the British Airways version of the A320 [AerosoftAirbus X A320 IAE]. The A321 may need to be tweaked if it's geometry is different.

In the AerosoftAirbus X A320 IAE folder, open up the aircraft.cfg (make a back up just in case) and make sure the [Lights] sections looks like this:;

//[LIGHTS] // A321

//light.0 = 3, -15.2, -54.8, -0.80, fx_navredm ,

//light.1 = 3, -15.2, 54.8, -0.80, fx_navgrem ,

//light.2 = 3, -81.00, 0.0, 1.10, fx_navwhih ,

//light.3 = 2, -15.70, -55.0, -0.70, fx_airbusx_strobe ,

//light.4 = 2, -15.70, 55.0, -0.70, fx_airbusx_strobe ,

//light.5 = 2, -81.00, 0.0, 1.10, fx_airbusx_strobe ,

//light.6 = 1, 4.00, 0.00, -9.10, fx_airbusx_beaconbot ,

//light.7 = 1, 2.30, 0.00, 4.9, fx_airbusx_beacontop ,

[LIGHTS] // A320

light.0 = 3, -15.0, -54.15, -0.80, fx_navredm ,

light.1 = 3, -15.0, 54.15, -0.80, fx_navgrem ,

light.2 = 3, -72.0, 0.0, 1.10, fx_navwhih ,

light.3 = 2, -15.50, -55.15, -0.70, fx_airbusx_strobe ,

light.4 = 2, -15.50, 55.15, -0.70, fx_airbusx_strobe ,

light.5 = 2, -71.30, 0.0, 1.10, fx_airbusx_strobe ,

light.6 = 1, 3.90, 0.00, -9.10, fx_airbusx_beaconbot ,

light.7 = 1, 2.30, 0.00, 4.85, fx_airbusx_beacontop ,

light.14=5, 4,8, -7.6, fx_Shockwave_landing_light// Shockwave light

light.15=5, 4,-8, -7.6, fx_Shockwave_landing_light// Shockwave light

light.16=5, 35, 0.20, -9.53, fx_Shockwave_landing_light_light// Shockwave light

light.17=6, 35, 0.20, -9.53, fx_Shockwave_landing_light// Shockwave light

I have modified it slightly so when the landing lights are on it illuminates the cabin. To eliminate this remove light.16, if it's not to your taste.

Hope this helps

Damo
