POPULAR POST!
AS_F16-Fighting-Falcon_UPD_ALL_to_121.exe this one will update all existing versions to the latest 1.21 versions
AS_F16-Fighting-Falcon_UPD_120_to_121.exe this one only contains the 1.20 to 1.21 changes *duh
It all was pretty complex but I think all should be well now. Do take care that both updates overwrite the aircraft.cfg files so it you have additional liveries or other mods installed you save your aircraft.cfg files!
As always the updates are in the FAQ's / Updates section. Don't use these updates on pirated copies, could end badly.

I think your trying to get on my "good-side" again; its working....
Thank you (Merci!) for finally making this update.
Also, how can I get both loud and soft VC sound sets to see which I like best? Is it a tweak in the sound.cfg files or another download?
Merci!
Sincerely,
From,
James F. Chams

Hi Mathijs,
I have also take care about the redux lights in the cfg file? It would be nice, the right lighting, I (we) are using (standard / Redux) can choose, when to install each update. It's hard to change everytime the aircraft.cfg from standard to redux lights by this mass on liveries

So what exactly do I have to do to insure my repaints won't be over written/that I don't have to re-input all the repaints?

After installing 1.21 You need to take the [fltsim.XX] section for each of the repaints You ahev added an insert it to the new aircraft.cfg for the relevat version.
Cumberstone I know, but there is no way around this.

If you find the sounds too loud for the VC you can replace them with the set you find here. The sounds are half volume (except those of Bitching Betty).
Merci, Mr. Kok!
I just installed the v1.20->1.21 update and It did modified the aircraft.cfg files so I need to reinsert repaints, Shockwave lights, my launchbar/tailhook settings, etc. which is a bit of a pain but for this addition of VC sounds, I won't complain.
And, the ASC did load correctly. I tried a few sound tests and it seemed to work really well; I will also try the lower volume sounds and see which I prefer, Thanks a bunch, Gents!
Sincerely,
From,
James F. Chams

If You have the Boxed or download version and never has updated it with the 1.20 patch, then download: AS_F16-Fighting-Falcon_UPD_ALL_to_121.exe
If You have updated Your boxed or download version to 1.20, then download: AS_F16-Fighting-Falcon_UPD_120_to_121.exe
If Your download version is 1.00 then go into Your account and download the original installer again, cause this is version 1.10.
Un-install Your 1.00 version and install the newer 1.10 version before updating with: AS_F16-Fighting-Falcon_UPD_ALL_to_121.exe
To find out what version You have, go to:
\FSX main folder\Aerosoft\Falcon X\ and open the Readme.txt file
Under History, You can see what version You have installed by looking at the last version number changelog.

Where can I find this update to download? I bought the boxed version when it hit the Best Buy shelves here in the states, but I can't find any downloads for the F-16 on the product support pages.
Same here I just bought it at Best buy and was hoping to download a update. I just can not find anything about where to get it. I have registered at Aerosoft and still nothing.

Doing that would require new VC model files for all versions.
The work to do that is total out of proportion for adding just one switch.
I don´t hope that Bitchin Betty yells at You constantly, cause that would indicate that You either is flying towards the ground or have massive system cautions all the time.

well, when flying a demo display it's a bit annoying but overall with normal flying I'm glad Betty is making a bit of noise once in a while

I have just uploaded two new updates. If you were fully up to date you are now running version 1.20.

Have you been able to find the 1.21 update yet? If you click on "FAQ/Updates" on the Aerosoft website (or go here: http://aerosoft-shop.com/support.php ) and log in with the e-mail address you bought the F-16 with, it should appear in the "Products:" dropdown list. After selecting the F-16 and clicking "Continue", I see the following options:
-> F-16 Fighting Falcon Paintkit
-> Update 1.20 to 1.21
-> Update all versions to 1.21
Clicking on the last one gives me a link to download the AS_F16-Fighting-Falcon_UPD_ALL_to_121.exe file you're talking about. Do you see all of that after logging in?
