I have downloaded and installed the Piper Cheyenne V4 but have a problem.
I removed the early version via the Windows Control Panel. I then installed V4 following your instructions but when I run FSX and select the Cheyenne I get the usual messages regarding running the gauges. After the aircraft is loaded I find a lot of the gauges missing.
Below are some screenshtos of the missing gauges:

These shots are from the original installation which had been in FSX for over 12 months. To fix this problem then I had to reformat my FSX hard drive and it took me nearly 3 months to get my FSX back to how I liked it so you can see I do not want to do it again. The same gauges are missing from the V4 installation. I am seeking your help as I am trying to avoid a format of my FS hard drive as I feel this is possibly the only way I can get them back.
Also I discoverd these objects on an outside view:

Hope you can help me.
Cheers
Pat

You might have installed SP2, but it could have become corrupt though other addons seems to work flawless.
Im on vacation right now, but will be home within the next days. i can then post how to fix it without re-installing FSX.

Your simconnect settings are most likly broken !!
Most addons work flawless dispite this, but more complex aircraft does not.
I know that the procedure is cumberstone, but there is no way around.
Simconnect often becomes broken when SP2 has been uninstalled / reinstalled.
A total Uninstall of FSX is NOT necessary, nor uninstalling any other addons.
Rolling back to the retail version, deleting the simconnect folders and then repair retail version / reinstall SP1 and SP2 is doing the trick.
Please do the following (and read thoroughly !!):
-Go to the Controlpanel --> Add/remove programs.
-Ensure You have "show all updates! enabled.
-Find and select "Microsoft Flight Simultor X SP2".
-Click "Remove" and confirm that You will unistall SP2.
At this point You might not be able to find Your "Microsoft Flight Simultor X" entry in the Add/remove list, so.......
-Close the Add/remove program window and open it again.
-Find and select "Microsoft Flight Simultor X SP1".
-Click "Remove" and confirm that You will uninstall SP1 (might require FSX Disk 1).
-Go to this folder:
C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\
-Delete these entries 3:
x86_Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect_67c7c14424d61b5b_10.0.60905.0_....
x86_Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect_67c7c14424d61b5b_10.0.61242.0_....
x86_Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect_67c7c14424d61b5b_10.0.61259.0_....
-Insert Your "Microsoft Flight Simultor X" Disk 1.
-Run Setup from the root folder on the CD.
-Select "Repair" and ok. It can take a longtime to finish and progrees might seem as if it has haltet. Just wait until it finishes.
-Install SP1.
-Install SP2.
Simconnect has now been restored.

I have a question concerning the weather radar, can't seem to get it to work, the screen is blank, all the other gauges, and instruments are working,I've read through the instructions for the weather radar, how to turn it on,and select different things, but mine never does anything, just a blank screen,I've tried all the switches, but no luck.
Mark
Could you try ask him to enter/load a flightplan into the GPS (can be a very simple one like a direct to KJFK) and select the LOG page on the WXR. You should see something then. If you see nothing it would mean the gauge is not loaded at all.

Thank you for your reply,I have a question about the GPS,can't seem to find it,I've tried shift+3,no luck, also is there suppost to be a power cart outside of the aircraft,I remember trying a flight in free flight and a power cart was there,in the missions that I have for this aircraft,no such cart shows up,on the instrument panel where the switches are below the weather radar, you can turn them on,and off,but with no luck.
Mark
So it seems there is a whole lot of problems. That almost certainly indicates that there is a problem with the files. I suggest you remove the product using the control panel add/remove software applet and than check if there are any files left. If that's you only Digital Aviation aircraft remove the FSXMainFolder/Digital Aviation folder before re-installing the aircraft.

Ok,I've downloaded the product from the aerosoft download site again, selected one of the missions, inputed waypoints, and it programmed, went to the WXR2100,tried numerous times to select knob # 7 to Log Mode, but am unable to make the knob do anything, the mode selector switch should move to the corresponding position that I want it in correct,or is there another way to move it.
Could I get a link where I could get the aircraft manual, when I downloaded the product, only 3 of the manuals were available, the other ones could not be found.
Thank you;

Mark I see problems that are more or less the same like this one on several forums here. All problems that we cannot fully understand or recreate. You seem to have problems with several of our products. Are you 100% sure your Windows and your Flight Simulator is without problems?
The manuals can always be found via the Start Menu.
