ok, here's what I got..

"G:/Programs/Microsoft/FlightSimulatorX/g3d.dll"

thanks for very quick reply...

I've been sitting here whole day also... since AES supports FSX I decided to give FSX a shot.. :D

Thx for the help !

Ok, that mean, there is not a file g3d.dll in the path G:/Programs/Microsoft/FlightSimulatorX

I have no vista here in my office, so maybe the following path is not complete correct, but give it a try:

C:\user\<your username>\local\VirtualStore\Programs\Microsoft\FlightSimulatorX

if you see there a G3D.DLL

If so, try to move it to the G:/Programs/Microsoft/FlightSimulatorX directory.

ok, there's no other than PMDG's file in C:\user\<your username>\local\VirtualStore\Programs\Microsoft\FlightSimulatorX

..

but I do have the orginal G3D.DLL in G:/Programs/Microsoft/FlightSimulatorX directory.

(which's not working)

Can you please click with the right mousekey on the g3d.dll and check below Properties, if this file is Hidden or System marked? If so, uncheck this and try the AESTest again.

Hello Oliver,

it's the first time that the AES installer fails on my home cockpit server (WinXP, no SP2; Fs9).

I also tried the installation on a laptop (same OS but with SP2, and same FS9), and it went OK.

Do I really need to install the SP2 on my server to upgrade to AES 2.xx ?

If possible, I wish I had not to.

Cheers,

Eugenio

You mean the SP2 for Windows XP? This is not required for AES.

AES needs SP2 or ACC-Pack for FSX.

I don't know if the installer has a problem without an SP on XP, but I think not.

When the Installer allready fails, maybe installshield has a problem with his older entries.

Please contact the support via eMail, or search here in the forum for "installshield"

Other question: What is the language of your OS?

I have change the routine a littlebit, maybe that helps. Please try the attached AESTest.EXE

here's what I got.

and I'm running "Tradional Chinese Vista 32bit"

Bingo, what I expected, Japan has the same problem :)

Can you please unzip the attached file into the <FS>\Aerosoft\AES directory and overwrite both files.

Then AESHelp should start. Will be part of the final installer.

Thanks for your help.

Can you please unzip the attached file into the <FSX>\Vistamare\bin directory, then start the FS to generate the CTD. When it happens, zip the file named ViMaScnXLog.txt you find in that directory and attach the zip here.

Sorry it took so long to get done. Here's the ViMaScnXLog.txt

Dustin

Can you please delete the <fsx>\Vistamare subdirectory, then Start AESHelp (Vistamare should be present again) and then redo the tests

Is this

??

I have doublechecked the Installer2 and all is fine there. Maybe your installation went wrong. Please redownload the new installer and run it again.
