dookster49 4
Is the new Airbus 320/21 professional bundle available for the FS Steam platform?
Deputy Sheriffs Tom A320 4915 Posted September 11, 2018 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted September 11, 2018 No, it is not. The professional version is only released for the 64bit platform P3Dv4.3 (and higher). The old 32bit platforms (FSX, FSX:SE and P3Dv3) are not supported. Please login to display this image. dookster49 4
Thanks Cap’n Tom. Is the P3D platform a stand-alone simulator (I’ve only used FS-Steam), or does it have to be used in conjunction with some other simulator platform? Deputy Sheriffs mopperle 4161 Posted September 12, 2018 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted September 12, 2018 Prepar3D is a stand alone simulator:https://www.prepar3d.com/
Deputy Sheriffs Tom A320 4915 Posted September 12, 2018 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted September 12, 2018 It's a stand alone simulator like your FSX:SE is. But unlike FSX:SE it is constantly updated (like with v4 the huge step from 32bit to 64bit).
dookster49 4
Thanks for this information! Is the Prepar3D “Professional License”, available for $199.00 US, all I need to run the new Airbus Professional Series? Also, will ORBX scenery run on this platform? BuddyDog 40
Prepar3D has different licenses from Academic to Developer, you have to decide which license fits your use. ORBX scenery will run in P3D.
Deputy Sheriffs mopperle 4161 Posted September 13, 2018 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted September 13, 2018 The license type itself has no influence on the functionality of the products. As most user want to learn how to fly an aircraft and train this, the Academic license should bve sufficient. Any thing else about P3d you can learn on their webpage and in their forum.
