Some crazy stuff during flight

Er!k

Recommended Posts

Today I did a flight from Aerosoft EDDS gate 10 to Aerosoft EDLW with the Eurowings A319 IAE. I noticed some strange things I did not see before:

* Started the A/C in cold/dark mode

* Middle ADIRS align button was already set to NAV, and could not be set in OFF position (would move back to NAV). As a result; ADIRS wouldn't align. Solved by loading the taxi state.

* When entering the FP, I made use of the keyboard entry. During the flight I noticed this got stuck as well. On MCDU II keyboard input setting to off resulted in a switch to on again. As a result, could not control my views with the 'S' key

* I did a landing in very bad weather, lots of rain. The wiper sound is way too noisy, and can also be heard in wing view. I also noticed no raindrops or effects on the windshield at 6.000ft, although it was raining

* On approach (A/P 1 and 2 armed, autothrottle, LOC and APPR); I disconnected the A/P by moving the sidestick. Suddenly the engines where spooling up thinking I would do a go around...

Don't know if I can reproduce it on another flight (except the sound issue and raindrops), but maybe something for the devs?

Erik,

First, thanks for writing to us, we always appreciate that.

When I see random, non-producible strange behavior the first thing I try is a reinstall of the aircraft.  This has resolved these types of issues for other customers who have experienced these type of problems.

If you haven't done so, please try uninstalling and reinstall the Airbus using the procedure below (takes about 15 minutes, depending on your Internet speed):

AEROSOFT AIRBUS PROFESSIONAL UNINSTALL & REINSTALL

IF YOU’RE HAVING A HOST OF UNEXPLAINED OPERATIONAL ISSUES WITH THE AIRBUS PROFESSIONAL OR THE SUPPORTING TOOLS (FUEL PLANNER, ROUTE PLANNER, ETC.) THEN THE BEST THING TO DO IS REINSTALL THE AIRBUS PROFESSIONAL USING THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE WHICH TAKES ABOUT 15 MINUTES DEPENDING ON YOUR INTERNET SPEED:

1. Uninstall via the windows program manager.
2. Remove any remaining airbus folders (where ever you installed it to, default location is the documents folder where you'll find two folders named “Aerosoft” and “Aerosoft A318 A319 Professional”
3. Reboot
4. Disable computer security software.
5. Right click on the airbus installer and select run “as admin”
6. Reinstall the airbus and reboot.
7. Delete the p3dv4.3 shaders folder, which can be found at:
c:\users\[your username]\appdata\local\lockheed martin\prepar3d v4
8. In your computer security software, please exclude the “Aerosoft” and “Aerosoft A318 A319 Professional” folders.
9. Re-enable your computer security software.
10. Launch p3dv4.3, and close immediately after reaching the initial window. Do not load the aircraft.
11. Close p3dv4.3.
12. If you have firewall software, please ensure that you allow the as updater.
13. RUN THE AS UPDATER.
