FMGS.dll shutting down P3dV4

FMGS.dll is causing P3Dv4.3 to shutdown.  Load P3dv4 (tried several different airports), select A319, just sitting at the gate doing nothing while I read the manual and P3dv4 suddenly quits.

Initially installed everything in "C:\Users\Dad\Documents\Aerosoft", but after first failure I uninstalled Bus Pro and reinstalled it.  This time ASUpdater and General folders are in "C:\Users\Dad\Documents\Aerosoft" and the "Aerosoft A318-A319 Professional" folder is installed in "C:\Simulators\Aerosoft".

No change - P3Dv4 still shutdowns only after a few minutes.  Tried other aircraft - no problem

Here's the error report I am getting

Faulting application name: Prepar3D.exe, version: 4.3.29.25520, time stamp: 0x5b2c3263

Additional info: If I operate the BUS PRO in "Full Screen" or with window maximized it seems to work OK. Crash appears to happen when changing screen size such as when switching from maximized to partial screen.

Flew the following profile with BUS PRO, PMDG NGX, and MaddogX. The problem only occurred with BUS PRO

KATL KATL08L GAIRY2 IRQ OSPRI6 KCHS15 KCHS @ FL 230

UTLive operating on Main Computer with Moderately heavy commercial traffic

AS for P3Dv4 providing weather from a networked computer.

I am also having this issue. I am in the process of assigning views to the Airbus in Chase Plane and for that I have the simulator windowed and switch between applications. It only takes a couple of minutes for the sim to crash due to FMGS.dll error.

Based on the above described issue, it might have something to do with not being in full screen. I will fiddle around a bit to see whether it can be easily replicated and if it can be prevented.

EDIT: making Chase Plane be "on top" of the full screen P3D does not produce any crashes.

@c141fe: are you using Riva Tuner Statistics Server to limit FPS (running in the background) or MSI afterburner? Disabling them appears to have made the problem go away.

Perhaps something to do with the RTSS app trying to capture the screen or something.

After much troubleshooting I seem to have found the problem. First of all the problem was causing P3Dv4.3 to crash whenever I tried to move or resize a "Non-Maximized" window, so checked graphics settings, drivers, misc background apps with no luck.  Turned out to be something VERY simple - It seems I turned off "MIPMAP VC PANELS" on the Display page in P3Dv4.  This being off doesn't seem to impact any other aircraft, but it sure caused havoc on my A3XX pro.

Excellent troubleshooting. Discipline you picked up in your flight engineer experience on 141's?

I also just got two FMGS.dll crash. The First one when closing all doors and the seond one when just starting pushback. Both with the A320 easyJet. Switching off VC_Mipmap is not an option because it makes all cockpit displays shimmering in VR.

Will try again with the A319, because it seems for me that I got more issues with the bigger busses.

Try an A319 or 318. I got the feeling it only happens with the big ones.

For me it happened..

1st Flight: EGKK-LOWW, Gate 104, A320 EasyJet, SkyForce Weather, In game time: 11/10/2018 17:15, closing cargo door, crash

2nd Flight: EGKK-LOWW, Gate 104, A320 EasyJet, SkyForce Weather, In game time: 11/10/2018 17:15, starting push back, crash

3th Flight: EGKK-LOWW, Gate 104, A319 EasyJet, SkyForce Weather, In game time: 11/10/2018 17:15, still on the way 20min before landing
