GEK_the_Reaper 233
Hello guys, as the title says if you fly e.g ILS24 approach (111.9 IFHW) I get no distance (DME) reading with e.g CRJ. Capturing the LOC and the GS works though. Regards, Gerald
srcooke 422
That is correct, there is no DME associated with either ILS and verified in the AIP. I don't use the CRJ but for other aircraft I would tune NAV2 to the FHD VOR which provides the DME reference as per the charts.
Deputy Sheriffs Herman 1591 Posted June 3, 2018 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted June 3, 2018 Stephen is correct. If you take a look at the profile view of the chart included with the add-on, you'll see the DME distances that define the fixes are from FHD (112.6). It's not uncommon in Europe for DME associated with an approach to come from a separate DME instead of from an ILS-DME, as more frequently seen in the US. GEK_the_Reaper 233
Thank you guys. I saw the DME from FHD but thought that the antennas providing you with the GS will automatically give you a DME . Regards, Gerald
